Rented a lawn mower. Besides being way over priced, I called them to come pick the mower up almost 2 months ago. Have set up several pick up times. I have even missed work waiting on them. They every time have failed to come or call. They keep telling me their truck is down. Now they've had the nerve to call and leave me a voicemail and call my place of employment saying we need to discuss my late account. Wow!

Rude lying management very disgruntled employees rude pushy phone calls overall a terrible Company to do business with who refused to take responsibility for lying employees roping people in on deals that do not exist or insurance coverage that does not exist your best bet is to go across the street to American rental.

Buyer Beware!
I was hesitant to leave this review as our financial business is just that - our financial business. However, Aaron's is so unprofessional that they are crying out for customers to share their bad experiences, and perhaps save others from similar bad experiences.
Our most recent poor experience began back in early November of 2020. We were, like others, dealing with the effects of the pandemic. As we looked ahead to Thanksgiving, we decided to have a family gathering and realized we needed more seating in our living room. We went to Aaron's and purchased a reclining sofa/loveseat set. We were told the furniture would be delivered the following day. The next day turned into over two weeks, arriving just a couple of days before Thanksgiving. When they finally got around to delivering the furniture, they damaged the loveseat badly enough that it needed to be replaced. We were told it would only be a couple of days before the new loveseat arrived and that it would be delivered immediately once in the store. It took nearly a year before the new loveseat was delivered. Understanding we were in a worldwide pandemic, we were patient, however, our patience became worn thin by the variety of endless excuses that ranged from the pandemic to they forgot to order the loveseat, to being short-staffed, and back to the pandemic.
Fast forward to Tuesday, August 30, 2022. We had just returned from a trip across the country, during which we realized our mattress at home was badly in need of replacement. As we are coming to the final payment on our previous purchase, we have recently had an uptick in communication from Aaron's seeking to secure a new lease contract. Despite the poor experience with Aaron's during the purchase of our sofa and loveseat, we are happy with the furniture, so, call us gluttons for punishment, we returned to Aaron's to inquire about a new mattress. The manager greeted us and stated, "You have a perfect payment record. You are great customers, what can I do to help you?" They didn't have the mattress we wanted in stock but told us they could order it and deliver it by Saturday, September 3. The manager promised a call on the evening of Friday, September 2 to confirm the delivery time. Our first hint of trouble came when Friday passed with no phone call. On Saturday morning, I called and spoke with the store manager. He happily informed me the mattress was there at the store and added that he'd personally unloaded the mattress from the truck on the previous day. He then told me that their lead delivery driver had quit the previous day, that they were otherwise extremely short-staffed, and that IF he could get management to run deliveries he MIGHT be able to deliver the mattress within two weeks. At that point, I had a very strong sense of Deja-vu. I had no desire to play the games we had previously played with the purchase of our sofa/loveseat. As I considered my options, I suddenly realized that the mattress I was about to purchase, I could purchase outright from a mattress store for around $1,000, or I could spend well over $2,500 for the same mattress at Aaron's. At that point, I told them to cancel the purchase.
Aaron's has a wonderful business model and on paper, they provide a tremendous service for people that may not otherwise have a way to purchase quality products. Indeed for us, it was a convenient, if somewhat problematic and overly expensive experience, that ultimately brought quality furniture into our home. Unfortunately, their stores are staffed with poorly trained individuals that are better at telling people "what they want to hear" than expressing anything close to reality. As a consumer, I am far more interested in hearing what IS going to happen rather than what the store HOPES will happen. This type of behavior appears to be institutional as we experienced similar treatment at two other stores dating back to 2012. The previous two experiences with Aaron's were short-term rentals of furniture and/or appliance

So I see now it's Aaron's positions to resale as much as possible to as many people as possible and lie to their consumers a call into the BBB is in order for sure. Because what I was told back then was definitely not what was said now! Just another way to cheat a customer during covid

I just hate being 2 days late on my payment when I supposedly have a 7 day grace period and I get 3 calls a day asking when I’m going to pay. Wtf? I have 7 days after my payment to pay. Call once it’s after that grace period, feels rather harassing.

I staff are extremely friendly and are very helpful. But some of the pre-owned items look a little worse for wear and on those items the prices seem a bit high.
