My husband and I are loyal Acura MDX fans. Whenever our Acura MDX is having any sort of issue - my husband takes "her" to Union Street Garage. Jon is wonderful. Speaking as a prior mechanic, I can tell you that Juan is very fair, honest, and will do what he can to help you. These aren't easy qualities to come by these days. I am very glad to have found this repair shop. They even let me ship my tires to their shop. Great price and service.

DO NOT GO TO ALL TECH AUTO REPAIR!!!! My car engine was on fire in the highway ( FDR Drive) 3 days after getting my car serviced here!!!! I never had any issues with my car but was due for a state inspection. On June 1st, I went to All Tech for the inspection. They told us the engine belt should be replaced so we came back on June 2nd to get it done. We were told that we had to come back for another state inspection once replaced to ensure everything was fine. We were not sure why they couldn't do that at the same time but we ended up coming back on June 3rd. Two weeks later, the air conditioning stopped working. We went back on June 22nd to get it fixed. Three days later on June 25th, I was driving on the highway and started to smell something burning. Shortly after the smell, I noticed that the engine started smoking and then I saw flames. I managed pull over between the ramp on an exit lane and jumped out of the car into oncoming traffic to try to get to safety. I managed to cross the highway to a safe spot and called 911. While waiting for the police and fire department to come, I just watched my entire car go up in flames. The day my car burnt down, my daughter called all tech and spoke to Juan to review the work done on the car. He went though all the work and towards the end of the call became very defensive and aggressive. He denied all responsibility, wrongdoings, or lack of checks during the inspection. My daughter was very calm throughout the call and was just trying to understand why this happened. He ended up yelling at her and even threatening to sue us if we engaged any action against him and finally hang-up on her. My daugher called back to try to speak with someone else and managed to speak with the girl in the front. She said her name was Erika. She gave a scripted response of we did nothing wrong, I understand you came here 4 times in one month but we did nothing wrong and don't give refunds. After explaining that my car was on fire and that I almost died, she too hung up on my daughter after saying it wasn't her problem and to not get her involved! They have ZERO MORALS AND ETHICS!!! If you value your life and the safety of your family DO NOT GO TO ALL TECH AUTO REPAIR! I am taking the time to write this review to hopefully help someone avoid the trauma that I went through. Also to note: Another yelp reviewer who was an all tech auto repair customer wrote that his car also started smoking while driving after getting service done there. He was stranded and needed to get his car towed. This is a pattern and multiple people have come forward with similar stories. STAY AWAY!

I was a long time costumer of Alltech and it all went downhill when I took my leased car for repairs after a minor accident. The front bumper was installed improperly, they painted that part with a slightly different color, they didn't repair a small scratch that I remember mentioning to them and was on the list. Also, during an oil change, the car ended up with a crack on the part where the car slogan is located. Beware. You have been warned

Please visit this mechanic. I was visiting SF and the check engine light appeared on my car. Two other shops said it would cost $90 and $100 to even diagnose the problem. I am so grateful that I stumbled into this shop as John took a look at the problem for no charge... he quickly explained that it didn't require immediate repair and that I could fix it when I got back home. I could tell immediately that this man operated on principle and was not looking to make a quick buck. He took the time to explain the problem to me and was incredibly kind. The world needs more people like John...

John at Union Garage is truly the best. I am so grateful for his help. I had been struggling to complete my smog due to not using my car often and John went above and beyond to get it to done. He also was kind enough to fill the tires and top of the gas. John is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice going forward. John is the mechanic you've always dreamed of. Friendly, communicative, and knowledgable. Came in with a weird electrical problem - other mechanics would have just thrown a new starter in there, charged me $1,000, only to find my car won't start the next morning - John took the time to diagnose the problem and discovered the solution was just a faulty brake light. Can't believe it took me 8 years in the city to find a garage of this caliber.

Previrus month I was strongly limited in time, so I couldn't check my Audi by own forces (though I love to do it). I needed to find good car service with only professionals and where I could entrust my fav car. My friend recommended me Union street garage and thanks him advice I finally have found a great place where I could check and repair my car. Firstly, John (I guess the owner) proved responsible and authentic person. He talked to me respectfully and did his work honestly. I appreciate it! He and his crew made a high level and quick brake pads and discs replacement on all wheels with brake fluid change as a work package. The price was very decent. Very helpful, trustworthy and competent mechanics! The best local garage! Will come to them again!

I have been coming here for years. John is always honest, gives me my options and doesn't do unnecessary work. I recently was told by a tire shop that my brakes were shot and quoted $800 to take care of them - John took care of it for about $200.Super nice guy!!!

Super honest people. I came in looking for a smog and they carefully reviewed my paperwork and advised me that the smog was not necessary until a later date. They could've very easily just smog the vehicle and sent me on my way and made the money, but they chose the highroad, did the right thing even when they didn't have to. Anybody with that kind of character deserves your business.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I have known Juan, owner of AllTech, for almost 20years. He provides the best service and quality work, better than my car's dealer shop. He has big heart and always give the best to his clients. I high recommend anyone I know to get car serviced there. He makes me feel welcomed and I feel good to leave my car there knowing it will be all taken care of.
