Lieber State Recreation Area is a beautiful and peaceful location for a day or week-long family trip. The campsite offers nice, level, and clean campsites with hot showers and a nice playground. Plenty of wood is available for campfires, even when the campgrounds are all in use. The park has a large playground and recreation area, and the restrooms are checked several times daily and at night to provide the best accommodations. Dogs are allowed on leash, but they are not permitted on the beach. The park has several shelters and picnic areas, many of which are shaded. The campground is very quiet, and the sites are located in old-growth woods, although some may be difficult for large campers or those with slide-outs. The bathrooms near site 107 are particularly clean and well-maintained. Overall, Lieber State Recreation Area is an amazing state park, with different seasons offering different colors and terrain that is enjoyable, though not for the faint of heart.
