This is the worst bank in Indiana. You could ruin someone's life by just calling & stating a person (who was a bank customer) is deceased & they freeze the account. Now because of this "word of mouth" so much has gone wrong by sending back the person who is NOT DECEASED, all SSI checks as well as employee's check. Now the family has to call all these places to get it corrected.Where as all the other banks do NOT close or freeze accounts without a death certificate, of which we didn't have & made the mistake by just advising a family member passed.Today 6/18/2022, we get a letter stating a person passed away (which did not) & stopped all the young ladies benefits such as Medicare (who is special needs) & now the family has to correct the mistakes of the bank, because this bank froze all accounts & sent the money back.Bunch of liars there, very unprofessional. So, if you want to screw up someone's life, go tell First National they died & they will freeze all assets & accounts without a death certificate. After talking with our probate attorney, the bank was not supposed to do anything for 45 days. Wow. They make up their own rules & families have to jump through hoops for their mistakes.
