Had mud on the pants of the tux I rented and only had to pay a small cleaning fee upon purchase for rental. Will definitely go back.

If I could give more stars, I would. I went in today to get a tuxedo shirt for some photos later in the month, and from the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I knew I was in professional hands. The ladies there were very warm and welcoming, on top of being EXTREMELY HELPFUL. The selection of suits and tuxedos they have are modern and vast, perfect for whatever formal occasion you may have, and their prices are very reasonable. They have any accessories you may need, from suspenders and pocket squares to studs and cuff links for your shirt. They can also order whatever you may need and it doesn't take very long to get it back (2 to 7 days). They have so many colors and styles to choose from, so you can find the perfect match to whatever dress or other items you're trying to coordinate with. Not only that, but the personal expertise shows when talking to them because they helped me pick out the PERFECT colors and patterns when showing them a photo of my wife's dress. After finding the right size and trying it on, they went in the back and pressed it for me as well. I will go here again for all of my formal needs and I really look forward to speaking with these ladies again. I would recommend J. Alan Formalwear to everyone needing a suit, tuxedo, or any accessories because it was a sheer pleasure shopping here.

After close friends of mine had a bad experience here(I was a groomsman in this negative experience)
I decided to give this place a try for my own wedding, mostly because I believe mistakes happen and like to usually give people a second chance. I came in to be fitted a couple months in advance and pleaded that I be sized slightly lower because I was in the process of losing weight and expected to be at my goal at the time of my wedding.I was told adjustments would be made when I picked it up.I did end up 20 lbs down from the measurements so when I got the text a week before the wedding and came in the next day when they opened to try everything on, just to make sure fitment would be okay. Lo and behold everything was very large on me. I brought this to their attention and was ensured it would be fixed, I took their word for it and went and picked it up later on and to my own fault I didn’t try it back on again, however I expected it to be fixed correctly. Everything was too large on me. My pants and undershirt were both larger sizes than I have ever worn in my life. sadly I had to just go with it though. I expected these people who do this for a living and who measured me twice to do a better job. I have ordered a couple different suits on Amazon that fit me far better without an expert sizing me. All of our groomsman had varying issues with fitment as well. All of this tells me this really isn’t a one time issue as I have multiple people who have been a part of or had bad experiences here. Also as you can see from the responses to other bad reviews, they deflect and do not actually offer good solutions to problems. Just be sure to think twice about this place before having an event that you’ll look back on at pictures for the rest of your life.

An absolute awful place to go. Every single suit was tailored incorrectly. Someone does not magically become several inches shorter when you go back to pick up a suit. The solution they offered was to come back and get the suit the next day. The next day being the day of a wedding. The fitting was scheduled months in advance and they waited to the day before the wedding to have all the groomsmen pick up.
J alen has no regard for proper customer service. Absolutely find another place to go. They like to blame the customers for any misdoings on their part. Especially since the tux were not ready or even notified they were ready until late in the day. Just don't waste your time on such a trashy business

Do you enjoy extra stress leading up to your wedding day? If so this is the place for you! Don’t want your voice heard during your fittings or you enjoy your concerns being addressed in a rudely manner? Then this also the place for you! As you can see from other reviews if you encountered a problem they only respond in a defensive way if instead of trying to make things right! :)

Everyone in the wedding party had a terrible experience. My husband was a groomsman. Staff had poor communication & everything was ready at the very last moment (the day before the wedding with no time to fix clothes that didn’t fit). This was NOT disclosed as they claim. Staff is rude and defensive instead of working to make it right. When they say they “tried to make it right”… they mean they asked the men to come in THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. I have text proof of when they said the tux was ready. Excuses instead of help. If you take a look at the other reviews, the problems are the same.

This is the best place for a tuxedo rental! The turnaround time is short, They are efficient, Very Reasonably priced, And have a lot to choose from. The staff is hands-down amazing!

My son decided last minute he wanted to go to prom. The staff was professional and acted in a speedy manor to help but son achieve the look he wanted. 24hr turn around and he looked GOOD!

2 days before prom, my grandson decides he's going ?, Austin, at Jay. Allen formal Wear in Clarksville, Indiana , ?did an amazing job on my grandson's tuxedo, They went out of their way to make sure he had exactly what he wanted at the Very Last Minute ?very kind, courteous and I guarantee you won't leave disappointed ❣️

Everyone was very helpful and very professional. Did a wonderful job of fitting the grandson with his tux. Would recommend this establishment for anyone who needs formalwear.
