I have lots of accounts been banking here I think over 3 years or longer I had tax check deposited to checking only to find out they hold it for 4 business days. When asked they lie saying the IRS didn't release it yet. Which is a lie. They change staff often and I have had deposits put into wrong accounts before. Very disappointed. Next year will have a new account at a different bank that doesn't hold my money and see if the service is any better and might move all my accounts and families accounts move too. Just have to wait and see next year.

Worst bank to deal with. Their Southfield, MI branch scams people. They charge unnecessary/hidden fees to their loan estimates and charge absurd closing costs. Save your time and money and go to another bank/lender. Closing costs are unheard of. The higher the closing costs the more they pocket for themselves.

Finally ready to leave "big banks" behind. Clearly bigger isn't always better. The team at the Jeffersonville branch is just terrific. They offered me ADVICE, not just a one-size-fits-all loan. Definitely saved me money. :)

I feel the need to warn you guys to never visit the Charlestown location my daughter was treated so badly by the branch manager Ryan fields! he lacks any human compassion and decency and is a horrible person

The people are so nice here unlike the Charlestown branch Ryan fields the branch manager may have the entire city fooled but not me! Avoid him and that location at all costs

Every time I deposit money in the atm it never shows up as the right amount in my account, second time this has happened in less than a 2 month period ,this is at the clarksville location,this is unacceptable for a business that won't allow you inside, and not having longer hours due to covid-19,I might as well be putting my money in a wood chipper,thanks first savings bank.

So mad at myself that I didn't look up this bank here BEFORE I refinanced with them. My initial experience with them was the worst I have ever received from a bank. I was worried they were a scam, but I won't go that far. I was connected through Premier Financial Mortgage Brokers, who does have a good A Rating, so it didn't cross my mind to check this bank out on BBB as well. I spoke to John, to Shandis, to Ebony and to Geo on different days and was told each time that they would re-run my escrow analysis to lower my mortgage payment after I provided them with the Tax Assessor's Certificate of Error letter from Illinois, Cook County. I called five times and each time was told it was "in process." I was given a different date several times as to when it would be resolved (Oct. 19, Nov 18, Dec 2, then Nov. 23), as they saw the notes saying my issue would be escalated to correct the payment). Geo said she would call me back on Nov. 23 to confirm. I did not hear from her. My refinanced mortgage payment was higher than with my previous bank! I didn't want to have to refinance again with someone else! I sent an email to ****** ****** on 11/24 for help and mentioned this by phone to Geo on 11/18 that I would do that. However I checked my account on Nov 24, and finally change! I called and spoke to Elizabeth and had a much better experience and the promise was finally processed. However, my new monthly mortgage payment is still higher than what the original loan refinance documents stated. This bank needs to be investigated. I would not recommend this bank to anyone! They need to make major improvements. Everyone I spoke to was nice, so that was not the issue. It's that it took too many calls for action to happen and those I spoke to were not the management who make things happen in a timely manner.

Worst Bank I Have Ever Been With. Tgis Bank Started Great Until Covid Struck and They Started Stealing Money Out of Peoples Accounts. They Have Stolen $1,150.00 From my Account In The Last Month Due To "Overdraft Fees" of Items Not Even On The Account.My Account Had $20.00 In It, I Got Charged $6.99 For Disney + and They Charged Me $35 Even Though I Still Had $13.01 In The Account Making my Account Negative $21.99, they then charged me another $35 because their fake overdraft charge marked me over. The. They charged an Additional $35 When that finalized. Then their auto transfer kicked in (They refused to remove the feature) and Charged me $35 again. Followed by yet another $35 when that also finalized. They they then took that money they transfered out of the account back into savings. They then Auto transferred again and charged me another $35 for charging when negative. That was only one instant where my account was Possitive $13.01 and they stole $210.00.I get Paid Thursday at Midnight, My Check was deposited and available by 1Am. Everything was fine, At 7:30am on Friday I Went Grocery Shopping with $360 In my account. I Spent $54. They removed my paycheck from the account. Charged $54, Then charged $35. Auto transfered and charged me another $35, Then finalized it and charged me another $35, and then redeposited my check in my account that was positive $360 now was Stolen $105 From My Account.This has been just recent since Covid while they are taking money from people and refusing to fix their issue. When called and brought up they refused to fix the issue saying its just how the system works when i threatened to have my Lawyer involved they said they could only return one overdraft charge of $35.This bank has gone downhill quick, i highly suggest nobody use them.

I’ve been with first savings since I turned 18. I feel as if every teller at all locations is very friendly and helpful. I also want to give props to Hillary. Anytime I’ve sent an email regarding my account she always gives me a call in less than an hour to fix the problem. Never a bad experience (:
