Try to avoid this UPS location. Very rude staff! Forget about ever being greeted when you walk into the store, the staff will avoid all eye contact. Juan C in particular was not friendly at all and unprofessional.

The owner charges more than any other store for printing. Each week the prices for printing change. They tried to charge me $5 to print one shipping label. No UPS store has ever charged me to print a shipping label. I won't use this store unless I have to. I definitely don't recommend them.
Go to the portage UPS store. They let me use their computer to print. I'm in and out with 100 - 200 copies in less than 5 mins. And they never charge for printing a shipping label.

This is the very first time that I’ve used this store and I can say that it was a mistake and will be my last. I am trying to return a purchase that requires a hard copy of the UPS return label. Cashier tells me they charge $5 to print out a return label. Local UPS stores charge $0.20 per copy. Why the discrepancy, the cashier tells me that his boss charges those rates. Insane! Chesterton UPS, you lost my business!

Truly miss the old owner. The turn over of employees is awful, so it appears they are always in training. Now, if all you need to do is drop off packages that are packed and ready to go, they make you stand in line. It has become the most inconvenient place to use for a business that ships packages to customers.

Kayla at the Chesterton branch helped me out in a pinch with notary services. She walked me through the process that I wasn't familiar with and got me out of there quick.

I always have a great experience at this location. I come here often for shipping needs and returns with Amazon and the ladies in the store are always kind courteous and professional. I've come in here several times when they are dealing with difficult customers and they always know how to handle the situation with professionalism and grace and it is one of the reasons why I will continue to come back time and time again to this location. Keep up the good job ladies You are doing fantastic ?

I have Lived in Lake Station, Indiana since November 2020 & I Would go to the Portage, Indiana UPS Store location. I Walked into the Chesterton, Indiana Location today, I Was Immediately Greeted by Jay. He Helped Me along with Krystal & Sarah. These 3 Employees are Truly Amazing, I have Spent Majority of My Life Traveling. When You Walk into Any Business with the Sole Intention of Only Doing Business this One Time with Them yet You Leave Feeling like a Valued Customer. That's the Key to Repeat Business. I Feel these 3 Employees did Nothing differently than They All Do Everyday at Work other than They Helped a Customer Who Appreciates as Well as Values Their Work Ethics. If You are going to Ship anything, PLEASE Do Yourself a Favor & Do Your Business with the Chesterton Location. I am Positive that Jay, Nor Krystal nor Sarah will let You down in anyway. I Sincerely THANK The 3 of You for Making Your Location Such an Awesome Location.

Update-**Owner contacted me and handled this very professionally. I was very impressed with his concern over this matter and addressing the situation **Just went in there to send a packet and the older guy working there was extremely rude to me for no reason. The few questions I asked, he literally laughed at me, ignored my questions and made me feel stupid. I’m sorry sir, you work there and this is your job. I was pleasant and polite the whole time, I deserve to be treated with some respect. Super disappointing.

The gentleman that helped me with my package was very very pleasant the other girl cashier was very nice and I noticed the other customers also. My receipt says Jay was my cashier and he was a very very pleasant man helpful in every way he could I give him 11

They advertise having a notary available but that service is hit or miss depending on whether their notary shows up that day. Furthermore, the one guy working the desk was rather rude about it.

Package was sent to this store to pick up and the ups policy states it has “up to 7 days to pick up before being returned to sender” I show up on the 7th day and my package is still at the store and they refused to give me my package. Talked to the owner the next day and still refused to let me pick it up or ship to my home even though the package was still in there possession. Very unprofessional.
