I brought my teen in for a scheduled routine eye exam. Once the appointment got started, we were asked if my teen wanted their eyes dilated for the exam. Given the option, my teen declined the eye dilation. We were then informed that the exam would not continue without eye dilation. If this is a required part of the exam, we should not have been given a choice.
Additionally, Jennifer Sitko berated my teen for not remembering that they had been told two years ago that they would need eye dilation at their next visit. It's unreasonable to expect a teenager to remember such information from two years ago. Moreover, as the guardian, I should have been reminded about the dilation requirement when the appointment was made if it was mandatory for the exam.
Jennifer Sitko refused to perform the eye exam because my teenager declined the optional eye dilation. We will never return to MyEyeDr.

The process of making an appointment with Midwest Eye Clinic was reasonably quick and easy. The staff was professional and accommodating.
I could tell that Dr. Sitko was very knowledgeable as she described my issues and wrote the prescription for my glasses.
I anticipated some difficulty in trying to decide on a pair of glasses, but the technician was wonderful at her job and put me at ease. When I slipped on the perfect pair of glasses, I knew they were the ones. Getting my technician's approval sealed the deal!
I had a positive experience at Midwest Eye Consultants and I highly recommend their services.

This has to be the worst place I ever been to for glasses and my eye exam. They were going to dilate my eyes, and telling the tech not doing this bc I’m pregnant. She said, “ oh you’re pregnant?” Did you not read the form you had me fill out? She then didn’t say a word. ( She at first said I had to dilate my eyes bc I said I didn’t want to do that )Clearly they aren’t reading your forms you fill out. Doctor said my eyes changed slightly but gave me same prescription.
Trying to find a pair of glasses the sales the lady helping you for that was not even worth my time. She was no help! Didn’t see anything I liked so I asked them to give me my proscription so I can go elsewhere. All the sudden the computers were down. Yet she’s typing on it. When I went back to get my prescription one girl was saying computers were still down. Yet, the original girl is typing things up for someone else. She had to know where I was taking my prescription. As soon as I said I was going else where, they were very rude.
If you want quality service and people who will actually read your intake form do not go here.

Dr Hoover and Dr Sitko have been incredibly instrumental in the care and health of my eyes. They are thorough and really care about their patients.

This was my first time getting a thorough eye exam and I was definitely impressed with the entire appointment. Friendly staff and Dr Hoover was informative. I appreciate how efficient they were with my time. They got me in and out promptly.

Still waiting for my glasses. Ordered February 29. 2024. It's April 4, 2024?? No updates or call backs from them. I had to call them. I need my glasses for work. After this, I'm going back to AMERICA'S BEST or WARBY PARKER?

The doctor is amazing, the rest of the staff is terrible, rude, and lazy. They gossip and chit chat the whole time while people are waiting or the phone is ringing.

I recently took my 13 y/o child in for an eye and first time contact exam, after exam was completed and payment was made we were told he would need to return and must be able to insert and remove both contact at least 3 times in order to receive final prescription. This information was not disclosed when setting initial appointment.Child returned twice and is unable to meet their expectations, they have refused to send home a trail pair for practice/fitting. They have also refused to provide me with a refund, since the exam was completed... but not finalized?They insist that we continue to return until he is able to meet their expectations. Child has 2 full time working parents and this is very inconvenient.

"A nuisance " They made me feel unwanted and a nuisance, the female doctor shut down my curiosity on better contact options. Bottom line, I've been a professional for 20 years, successfully and they were sooo unprofessional. I don't recommend. I wished I had read these reviews before I spent all that money in contacts I don't even wear.

Honestly the best experience every time. They are very kind and get me right back and explain everything very well. When I was having an issue that I needed dealt with urgently they got me in that day. I’m so thankful for them.

I had unfortunately gone a couple years without an eye exam because my previous office had gotten so insanely expensive (even with my great benefits) and it seemed like the Dr. was always rushing through my exam. After browsing a list of in network providers, I scheduled at Midwest Eye Consultants in Chesterton. I can confidently say I’ll never go anywhere else for my eye care, nor will my family. Dr. Sitko goes above and beyond and takes her time. She made us feel like we were the only patients on her schedule for the day. She also explained to me why daily contact lenses are superior and my eyes have never felt better! She’s very punctual, thorough, and professional every single time. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes!
