From out of town but come twice a year to area. One worker was very nice and helped me find sunglasses. Lady at check out EXTREMELY rude I asked about getting a card to get discount and explained usually go to Krogers. I am use to sometimes grocery stores being owned by the same person but a different name but me and my friend both thought she then treated me like an idiot… and said I could not get a discount since I didn’t have app and treated me horribly raised voice also. Offered no info on how to get

If you go the last day of the sale, they have taken down a lot of the sale prices, so you can't even find what you went to the store for.
Many times, things are out of stock.

Great pharmacy, especially pharmacist Mike, and the whole staff, they're absolutely amazing and treat you like they actually care unlike a Walgreens or CVS etc.

Betsey at checkout/15 items or less is one of the best employees at this location. She continues to provide excellent customer service. More employees could learn from her. Please make sure she is recognized for her exceptional service. Good customer service is rare nowadays. Please reward this employee. She is a Gem!

No wonder this location only has 2.5 stars. Not one employee said one word to me except for a nice young man in the deli, but even then, they all seem so concerned with each other. The man in the deli started to yell across the deli counter in the middle of helping me so he could talk to another employee. The cashier never said "hello" to me or anything else except for my total. As I was walking out, the whole front end of the store was just employees walking back n forth chatting with each other Whatever happened to greeting customers, asking if they need help finding anything, or just being friendly? I don't really come here as often anymore. If I am going to be ignored by the entire store, then I will shop elsewhere where the prices are cheaper for the same items. Almost $3.00 for a small bag of M&Ms?

I had a horrible experience. They were really rude and I saw about 2 rats. I cannot believe this happened to me and i will never be returning. Would not recommend.

Just bought a watermelon it has an bad after taste sugary taste like a sweetener or chemical this watermelon is injected with some kind of sweetener.

We started shopping here because they had the best prices on Brew Pub Lotzza Motzza pizzas. Then my last order, they forget to load the pizzas with our order. Then expect us to drive back? Last week had 8 items out of stock with no substitution. A month ago we had been given some bad chicken, (actually had an odor) which we had to drive back to exchange. I have to tell you, curbside pick up is not going well at all and we are about done with Jewel.

Previously, I would have ranked this store quite high. Not any more. Ever since they went to an outside vendor for their home delivery service, I have been getting bad service routinely. I am disabled and have to have water, as well as other heavy groceries, brought into my living room, not left outside. No steps and maybe 5 feet more over the threshold and it would be fine. Instead I get churlish respones when I ask them to place the heaviest items inside my door. One older delivery guy actually stopped, glared at me, and said "Are ya gonna tip me?" And I replied that I couldn't as I was on a fixed income. His response? "Then forget it" and stormed out the front door. The same guy just came and left my groceries outside in the hall again, and then actually ran out the door to get away. As if that wasn't bad enough, the last time I had delivered groceries from this store, about $15 items were missing, but not deducted from my receipt. And to add insult to injury, about once a month I buy a bag of chips for myself as they are expensive. Some p***k carefully slit open the top of the product bag, carefully inverted it in the plastic delivery bag, and added a few small things around it to hide what they'd done. When I pulled the bag out in my living room, the chips flew all over. So, crippled up as I am, I had to try and get all of that cleaned up before doing anything else. My advice to anyone in the Chesterton area would be to avoid deliveries from the Jewel-Osco. They are just a disaster. Besides, their prices suck if you're just buying for a single person. Meijer is nuch better. Screw Jewel. We don't need them in Chesterton any more.

I come in here about once a month and the coupons are awesome. I went in today and got 8 6?packs of soda for less than $15.
