If you are planning to purchase a car, steer CLEAR of Castle Chrysler of Chesterton as they sold me a car under false pretense. I would suggest heading to a larger, more professionally accredited dealership such as Toyota, Dodge, Kia, etc. I purchased a used 2015 Toyota Rav4 in October of 2022. I originally left a 5 star review for the employee (Tyler) who helped me purchase my car as he was new to Castle and requested one. I am now editing my review to 1 star due the following: I purchased my car from Castle in October with an extended warranty. A month or two ago I began to hear a loud screeching noise when I turned left, so I brought it in to Alan at 10 am at Castle's service center on 6/14. Around 6 pm I get a call from Alan letting me know they checked my car out and gave it a safety inspection, but they could not pinpoint what was wrong and I would need to take my car to a Toyota dealership. He assured me my warranty would cover me over at Toyota and that the issue (whatever it was) was too complex for Castle to figure out. I took my car to Toyota on 6/19. I was informed by Toyota within an hour that my front and rear brakes need replaced immediately, as well as my front and rear rotors. They also let me know a clip was missing from one of my brake pads and they believe it was sold to me this way. I was charged $200 for the inspection by Toyota (thanks, Alan) just to be told my brakes and rotors are shot. I purchased this car 7 months ago, have put less than 10,000 miles on it, and now all of my brakes and rotors need changed. I will now have to invest over $1000 into this car that I JUST purchased believing it was in pristine condition. While speaking with the service man at Toyota, he informed me that brakes are not a specialty service so I did not need to get them done at Toyota (thank you to the kind service man at Toyota for all of the honesty). He told me whoever sent me to Toyota likely never inspected my car in the first place. The Toyota service man said Castle is more than capable of changing the brakes on a Toyota and they should have noticed my brakes going out on my initial safety inspection. I called Castle back and spoke with Mario in the service center who confirmed brakes are to be checked in a standard safety inspection. Obviously, mine were not. This means Alan decided to drive my car around, sign off on the safety inspection without actually inspecting it, and signed off on the paperwork to make his day easier. Not only has this dealership wasted my time and my money, they were willing to cut corners and risk my safety out of laziness. A dealership that employs people in a SERVICE CENTER that are unaware to check the brakes during a standard safety inspection or people who are willing to cut corners to make their day go by quicker, is a dealership that shouldn't be selling or servicing cars, period. Moral of the story: Buy your car elsewhere. Service your car elsewhere -ESPECIALLY if you care about your safety or the safety of the person you are purchasing for. I have attached photos for reference.

Tyler from sales was a pleasure to do business with, very professional and caring, excellent customer service! I did most of the negotiating over the phone and then stopped in to find the jeep ready & a hassle free process to finish up the paperwork. The whole crew was helpful including the finance guy Brandon, but Tyler is a step above the rest. During a market where every other dealership has a "market adjustment" they were the only ones willing to work out a fair deal. Highly recommend to reach out in you're in the market.

This is not the place to go if you have less than stellar credit. They will make you feel inferior to even thinking about buying a car. There was no negotiation, and after a very short amount of time it was obvious that I was being dismissed. I had purchased a vehicle from here a few years ago before the castle group took over and it was a simple pain free process. Perhaps it is new management that has caused this to be so cutthroat, but I with my less than stellar credit will keep shopping and look for the perfect dealership to do business with hand stone not this one.

Needed a battery tor my key fob!! They needed to pull my Jeep in the service area for my vin number, (which I didn't understand). Then the service attendant came back in (after being rude , from the get go)! To proceed to tell us that it would cost $237.50. I stated,,, to change a battery?? She said yes,, Parts and Labor.... Hmm,, NO THANKS!! I went to Batteries plus Bulbs in Valparaiso, they changed the battery for me and only charged me $7.48... Thanks Batteries &Bulbs!!! Can you say PRICE GOUGING!!

Took my Jeep in for an oil change. Super nice guys in the service department. They found a few issues and fixed me up. They even washed my Jeep before they returned it to me! Never had anyone do that for me before. Kevin, Rick and Mario are super knowledgeable and professional. Thank you Castle Chrysler.
