I took my cats here for the 9 years I lived in Indy. Each doctor and tech I have worked with were top notch, truly caring about my pets and giving them the best care. I never felt pressured for excess service and knew they offered good quality oversight to my animals’ health. One of my cats is particularly sassy and they were compassionate and understanding every visit. I also took my friend once when her cat needed an emergency procedure, and they did a really nice job helping him through a scary situation!

I came to this vet when mine was closed. I had No appointment but I thought they were an emergency vet. No matter they dropped everything and helped get him immediate care. After a short wait, they updated me on recommendations and options. After an X-ray showed his liver to be seriously inflamed we decided that it was best to make him comfortable and let him go. I had a separate room where I was able to have time alone, flipped a light switch when I was ready and it was peaceful. There was a separate door to leave if you didn’t want to go through the lobby. Every person was so compassionate. Thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart.

Our vet is astute and kind. All of the workers always seem to love my cat. I drive a distance to go to VCA in Carmel.

This vet clinic is wonderful. My dog died last December and they were extremely helpful and kind during the process. I greatly appreciated them.

I adopted a 10 week old kitten from the shelter and used the voucher provided for the first free visit, Dr. Zaniker and staff went above and beyond for my sick kitten and set us up for success in his healing journey! Staff were so helpful and patient with my questions and concerns. I left feeling relieved and grateful! I couldn’t be happier with the care provided- 5 stars is not enough

They are amazing it's that simple they are easy to get into. My cat got in a fight with a fox and needed minor surgery and they worked with me on prices I could afford and were able to answer my 1000s of questions patiently I'm not sure why there are bad reviews for here I think most of them are just the few ppl who don't like what they have been told and made the extra step to leave a comment. I work in a drs office so I know how patients can be.

The staff and doctors are great, personable, and quick to respond. When we need good care for our pet, we have no worries about coming to VCA here in Carmel.

My name is Jerry, my puppy Boo Bear had bladder stones. I highly recommend this vet. Yes, the prices are medium. Not the lowest you will find BUT you pay for what u get. I have severe anxiety and these people have helped me so much! They gave me a discount just to make sure I had enough money to help my pup, they gave me free food, free medications they already had that people had donated previously. I ended up going back after the initial visit (they drained my pups bladder and flushed the stones back up so they could dissolve), my anxiety was bothering my cause I thought his stones dropped, they did another xray for me just cause I wanted one. Best vets we have ever been too, worth the money!

Today I tried to make an appointment here. I was informed i cannot go here because my VCA CareClub plan is tied to a different VCA Hospital (where I feel the care quality has declined). When I expressed disappointment I was not informed that enrolling in CareClub meant signing away the freedom to choose a different vet if/when needed, the representative on the phone unhelpfully replied, "The nontransferable nature of the plan was stated in the CareClub agreement that you signed." Thanks ladySo today I've talked to the VCA Hospital where I enrolled, the VCA Companion Animal Medical Center where I would like to transfer, and CareClub representatives. All were useless conversations. The lose-lose-lose-lose outcome for VCA is that I will no longer go to the original VCA; I will not go to the VCA Companion Animal Medical Center where I wished to transfer; my VCA CareClub plans will not renew upon completion of this term; and I will pepper the internet with notes on how the sprawling network of apparently unaffiliated VCA Hospitals should be avoided at all costs.

Took my dog to Carmel location after adopting from shelter. They told me I could pay all upfront an then when came bk for boosters did not have any money due.Jus did boosters an today got call saying I owed $92.00!! They are over priced to begin with that that made me livit!! Going to much less expensive vet from now on an DO NOT recommend them!!! Totally furius!!!

Brought my cat in when he was sick and the team was amazing from start to finish. I made the appointment online and they even called to confirm his symptoms to make sure he didn’t need to be seen sooner. Everyone from the receptionist to the tech to the doctorwas so sweet to him and they explained everything to me so well. Cost also seemed very reasonable for the service / meds we got. Would definitely recommend

I changed vets after a bad experience. They told me my pet was in kidney failure. Two nights later I had to spend hundreds more and go to an allnight emergency vet at 11 at night in bitter cold weather. My pet had a massive UTI infection. The emergency vet suspected that is why the kidney numbers were off and questioned why VCA did not check urine for a UTI. Needless to say, I changed vets. My new vet also questioned why VCA did not check urine. After antibiotics were complete and a recheck, my pet now has normal kidney numbers and is NOT in kidney failure. This is pretty basic and it seems any good vet would know to check urine when bloodwork shows kidney issues. hundreds wasted at VCA and hundreds more at emergency vet above what I should have had to pay for a simple basic check and a correct diagnosis. But the biggest issue is my pet was in severe pain and had to suffer until a correct diagnosis was finally made. Also, VCA is possibly higher priced that other vets I have been to. And in my experience, was a very bad one.
