I am a local office building owner at Industrial Drive of Carmel. For how many times in a month that postman did not showed up to pick up and deliver mails, I can tell that the management for that segment at Carmel Post office is terrible. So many times in a month, I had to drop off mails for my tenants to the post office by myself because some mails had checks for their employees.

This is an update to my last review, which I wrote eight years ago when I first moved to the Carmel area. (Has it been that long? Geez, Louise.) This post office is great! In fact, it's one of the best post offices in the area. I don't know if it's because this post office has improved in the last eight years, or because my standards have lowered after interacting with multiple post offices around Indy. Either way! This Carmel post office is the tops. I've had my passport photo taken here (and it came out great). I've mailed multiple packages and bought many stamps. I've sent letters to international address and domestic addresses, and through it all, I can count on this Carmel post office to be fast, efficient, clean and filed with positive people behind the counter. This is my go-to post office from now on.

Worst fucking post office everrrrrr. They're slowing than snails. I cannot believe how fucking slow they are. Never coming here ever again. Fuck their customer service!

My experience was great! I believe the lady who helped me is named Jheena. She was very friendly and helpful. The entire staff team were cheerful and professional; it was a busy Friday night but the long line moved quite fast.

A young man named Vincent, city 8 postal worker, was awesome and very helpful! He was accommodating, courteous, friendly, and happy to help! I hope he stays. We need great quality workers who have an excellent attitude!

My first time in this place it was busy! The woman that was behind the counter was all alone! I don't know her name but on receipt it says clerk # 7. She was able to move the que quite fast even though people were still complaining.. She was very good to me when I asked about tape? She said go to the table wrap it quick and come back up and I'll put label on for you and give you your receipt. Was very glad that I didn't have to get back in que for it was quite long! And my parcel got to where it needed to be right around the time she told me. Couldn't have asked for more. Thank you! This USPS also has plenty of parking. Thanks again!

Worst USPS I’ve ever been to. There is no structure, there is no organization. I wouldn’t even say that they were understaffed because as the line was starting to go out the door, they went and got someone from the back. I definitely think management needs to step up here.

Jody (the supervisor) had lots of patience and empathy regarding our lost packages. I really appreciate how kind she was. She should be given a promotion.

Worst post office ever. I ship alot daily but I go out my way to not stop there. They are constantly rude to customers and the self shipping machines are always not working. My local carrier is great though.

Good fast service but wasnt aware u couldnt take a picture of ur package in front of the teller i thaught kind of odd but its rules have to go with them all in all great place

Good service. Lines though. There aren't enough bodies for the line pretty much every time I go in. Love the electronic postage machines - add a couple more.

I’m doing 2 stars bec employees are nice. But they are also very slow. And I can deal with slow, no problem, but that’s not the worst part. It’s the sindicated carelessness and lack of customer service oriented attitude. The one that makes them look at you and still keep doing what they’re doing and at the pace they were doing it. I’m pretty sure that they kind of rely on the self-serve kiosk in order to have just two staff members on front desk duty but the kiosk still doesn’t have all the options attended yet. As a customer service rep you can’t talk about life and family with 1 customer with 7-8 people waiting in line. I guess that is the USPS experience that’s still stuck in the 60’s.

I frequent this post office but recently had an experience that compelled me to write this review. I was out early before the post office opened so I used the self serve kiosk to create my label. Well, I was in a rush so I did it quickly and then dropped the package in the drop box. Halfway on my way to work I had a weird feeling that I shipped my package to the wrong address. So I drove allll the way back to the post office. They were open for the day at this point. I had the nicest a employee Cuneyt help me sort out my problem and make sure my package was getting to the right place. He saved the day!

Big clean no drama post office with two kiosks. Always easy to get drop offs done here. Staff is friendly.

Excellent passport services. Most times are appointment only and they book fast. The employee who processed our 2 small children’s passports was so efficient and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend this USPS location for passport services.
