The gym is good, but the cleanliness could be improved, and it would be great to add more machines for glutes.

Be careful HIDDEN FEE before signing agreements. Cheating sale man.
I came two weeks ago and asked for membership by a sale guy sitting up front for the membership (he told me he is the gym manager).
He offered me to pay $34.99 for membership fee, first and last dues for $69.99 and $25.00 for initiation fee. That is all I need to pay. I was fine for that and signed agreements. He wrote down all of the fee above on a paper when we met.
After a few days, they charged me $59 for annual fee which I never paid for other gym places. I was not happy and I went back to ask him why I had $59 over charge for that. I told him that he didn’t let me know about that annual fee when I came to see him on that day and he even didn’t write it down on the paper in our conversation.
He refused that was his fault and I want to talk with the gym manager because I felt I was cheating. He told me he is the gym manager but I know he is not because he went to meet someone to ask for the agreement discount for me in the first day.
After our argument, he accepted it was his fault and he would not charge me $59 for annual fee if the membership was not cancelled.
After 2 days, it was charged in my credit card and I went back the gym to talk with him. He told me the manager didn’t accept to wave the fee and I have to pay the stupid fee because I signed the agreement. He said “I am very happy to help you about the cancellation”. Very good customer service.
Ok. I told him to cancel my membership and never recommend anyone to go to this cheating place.
I used to go to Lifetime fitness for 10 years but I just moved to this area. So I have to looking for a new place. But this is the worst place I’ve ever met.
NEVER GO BACK AND YOU GUYS SHOULD BE CAREFUL WHEN COMING.

Came into town looking for a weightlifting gym. Got into touch with Chad, who is also a fellow veteran. Chad treated me as if he had worked with the gym for years, much to my surprise it was only his 4th day! Thank you Chad, for you service in and out of the military!

Sorry but this gym is actually so dirty. No one cleans the equipment , you’d go to use something with visible sweat streaks on it dried on. I was so grossed out to the point I had to start wiping equipment down beforehand and the wipes are so dry and barely work. Big groups of teens gather and don’t have any regard for others space. Equipment is old and ratty. Just not a great experience overall.

Was my favorite gym until they began losing any and all consideration. I understand when a sign says “men working in locker room” but when I do an entire check of the locker room and no men are in there, I’m told (by staff keep in mind) that means there are no men in there and the sign was forgotten so safe to go in. So on three different occasions now, I do a full sweep, no men, then twice I’ve been topless and they walk in with no announcement. So are they done and forgot the sign or are they just walking in? No matter the sign- if they leave and then come back, an announcement should be made. A girl under the age of 18 was changing and two men walked in. She began to tear up out of fear because she too checked after seeing the sign and when no men were in there she felt safe to change. I’ve gone to staff and even offered “just yelling out before entering would be helpful” I’ve sent an email. Nothing changes. Has happened at three different locations. A sign should not mean free entry for over an hour in and out of the locker. Last location I went to- I take a client with a disability. I’m told she can’t be my guest to the gym. Why? I’ve taken clients with me before? So do you have staff who get to pick and choose which disability you let in?

This particular LA Fitness location has been consistently subpar. The stair machines have been non-operational for over two months, and the overall cleanliness of the gym is unsatisfactory.

LA Fitness. It's a great place to go. They have every machine you can imagine and they have classes that will take your body to the next level. I love it.

I have number of issues with LA Fitness on 106th & Michigan rd. They recently took away the paper towels and gave us wet naps to wipe the equipment off. I realize this is a cost saving measure but for hygiene and practical reasons we really need for some paper towels to come back. The stairclimbers are always malfunctioning. Their lifespan has come and gone. They drastically need to be replaced with NEW stairclimbers.
