This is our go to for dog grooming and boarding. The staff is great and our dogs come home tired, happy, and smelling great

We love this place. We board our dog here whenever we need to travel. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and our dog,Thanos has a great time playing with other dogs and relaxing at this cutesy little dog spa. Fully recommend!

12/09/2023Happy Dog Hotel & Spa is simply fantastic! I can't say enough great things about the grooming experience my beloved sheepadoodle, Archie, had with Olivia. It's been a year and a half since I've seen Archie so impeccably groomed. They took care of every detail - from nails to his potty patch, ears, and teeth, leaving him smelling as sweet as sugar cookies. The care, attention to detail, and the way they made Archie feel comfortable throughout the grooming process were truly exceptional. Olivia's expertise and dedication were evident in the stunning result.I wholeheartedly recommend Happy Dog Hotel & Spa to anyone looking for top-notch grooming services. They've earned every one of these five stars!-Josh Collins

This is about their grooming service. It's awful. Before we took Gracie (micro Berne doodle) in we totally brushed her and removed a few hair balls and a few slight mats. Her hair was perfect. I showed them a picture of Gracie right after her prior grooming (a go-by), but the groomer hardly looked at it. When I picked her up she was very very poorly groomed. They apparently decided to completely ignore her picture. They did, however, ask for a tip before we ever saw her. It was so bad that Gracie got re-groomed just a few weeks later. That groomer was shocked and said that Gracie was totally butchered - there was long hair, short hair, really short hair, no hair, absolutely no style, yada, yada, yada. Frankly, we kinda feel 'defrauded' --- they claimed they were dog groomers but that was a clear misrepresentation of a material fact.

Can't say I recommend this business anymore. Their customer service skills have significantly gone downhill. I only bring my dogs in for grooming for a deshedding treatment every few months, so I was unaware that they close at 4:00 on Saturdays--fully aware that THAT part is on me. Since I used to work at three dog daycare facilities in the past due to moving, I have to say those hours are strange. Regardless, Happy Dog always calls me after the grooming is finished. They called me at 3:54 to let me know they were ready and the employee stated, "Just to let you know, we do close at 4."I wasn't in a position to take their call right away, so they called again at 4:03 to tell me that they're closed and my dogs are being put up in the hotel. I called back and the manager's tone is unpleasant, stating they called me twice. Yeah, SIX MINUTES BEFORE YOU CLOSE! I stated this and she deflected asking me how soon I could be there. I live fifteen minutes away, and it took me longer because a bunch of roads were closed due to an event nearby, which I was also unaware of. I don't live in Carmel. When I go in to pick up my dogs, the manager still acts like it's MY fault when I asked if they've always been closing at 4. "Nope, it's always been 4." she stated. Again, I don't know what you expect when you call me SIX MINUTES before closing time to let me know they're ready. I'm disappointed, because of how this was handled and how I was treated after going to them for years and recommending them to so many people. The customer service during drop-off that morning was also cold and unfriendly. I'm glad I was able to call back when I did, because if I hadn't, they would have closed without my dogs being fed dinner. Call your customers a little sooner than five to six minutes before you're about to close when the dogs are finished being groomed, and this problem can be avoided in the future

2 hours late on pickup time for my dogs. Whatever you do, do not go to this place for grooming

I used this place to leave my dog, who is a puppy, that was in October of last year 2022. And it was the worst, when I picked him up he was sad, dirty, he smelled of urine, they never took him out to play in the 3 days he was there there, I imagine that I was just locked up. Bad site. Bad experience.

Avoid this place!!! You are to drop off your dog between 7am and 9am and they don’t finish until 3pm. I see this as a way to force you to pay for their doggy day care. Next, I gave specifics on the trim and none of it was done. Asked for de-shed and my pup had more shedding happening than before he went. When you pick up they ask you for a gratuity before you even see the work done. VERY POOR BUSINESS!!!!

We have been taking our dog to Happy Dog for over 7 years. We love when we board him because they have day care for him to play with other dogs all day. He gets room service, eggs for breakfast and a comfy cot ❤️❤️❤️

Everyone is very nice here, my Maltese Shih-Tzu who has anxiety has improved so much since visiting the happy dog. We drop him here and there for his social skills, he also can’t stay home alone due to his anxiety. I have a huge peace of mind when my baby is here and the staff treat him very well. Lol the only thing is a super minor pet peeve of mine is that Bitsy is always referred to as she or a girl by staff, he’s marked down as a male. Bitsy is a boy, as staff is think they’d stop calling him a girl since I’ve mentioned it a few times. Anyway, we decided to try our grooming here and tomorrow is his first appointment! I’m sure it’ll go well! ?

Our Golden goes to socialize and always returns tired from all the fun! She's well taken care of and wags her tail excitedly if the car even goes that direction! The staff is friendly and all dogs are in plain sight to all who enter!
