First visit to the Cat Theatre and see the Carmel players in action in Murder on the Orient Express. Cast was fantastic, the play was great! Being a small building, I was surprised at them having a nice little concession area with fairly good options. Popcorn definitely. With the collection of various chairs, you might want to arrive early to choose your best option as the friend I took, got a seat that was clearly bothering her back so I traded her and found out why she was a bit fidgety. We did enjoy the play and it's nice to see Carmel offer those who are talented a place to share it. Good job Carmel Players!

This a fun theater nestled in Carmel near Main Street in the arts district. We came her for our children's concert with Carmel Music Academy. The theater sells snacks, beer, wine, soda, and non-alcoholic drinks. The Cat is the "Carmel Apprentice Theater". From the signs on the wall, a number of music schools come here to give their students an onstage experience. Good sound system, good stage, great experience! It is a very fun indeed!

What a nice place to focus on local talent. This theater is hidden away in the downtown Carmel area. The theater is a great place for musicals, plays, comedians, and music. We have been there twice for plays written by a local playwright and author. It feels cozy and casual. The walls inside are decorated with many cats of course. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. They have a small snack bar for popcorn and drinks which includes wine and beer. Give this place a try to support the local talent. Then grab a lunch or dinner nearby at one of the many restaurants.

This was our second trip to the Cat Theater and continues to be a jewel nestled in the hub of Carmel. It provides talented local theater artists a venue to showcase their skills. Both visits were to see the plays of a favorite local playwright and fiction writer, Dr. L. Jan Eira. Last year we enjoyed STAY SMALL. This time it was a thriller called AMBUSH that stayed intense to the very end. It made me jump and a monologue from male lead made my wife tear up. It makes me feel so blessed to have such talented actors, actresses, directors and playwrights here in central Indiana. The theater is cozy and seats about 150. Every seat is a premium seat and draws you into the action on stage.Refreshments are available before and during intermission. Set within a short walk of many numerous restaurants and pubs, it a great date suggestion.

I recently became acquainted with this eponymous gem of a theater. It's neatly tucked away between construction sites in Carmel, and is an intimate space that offers local productions. As others have mentioned, there truly is not a bad seat in the house. I came here with a friend to watch a medical themed mystery written by a local cardiologist, and we were even able to chat with him during intermission. The friendly gentleman manning the refreshment counter gave us a bit of background on several of the many cat pieces he'd procured to decorate the building. I can't wait to catch another performance here!

Excellent theater in downtown Carmel for local productions. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the prices are always right. We have seen 4-5 shows here and the venue is always perfect.
