Absolute scam! I hired Blake to swap an engine. He said it would take 2 weeks. 2 months later he started demanding money to finish the boat. This guy screws something up because of his incompetence and expects you to pay him for trying. Absolute shadiest guy i ever dealt with!!! Stay away, had lawyers involved to get the boat back! He also stole the batteries out of my boat. Had police involved to try to get those back.

Unprofessional. Won’t show up when he states he will for boat delivery. Doesn’t even bother to let you know he isn’t coming. Same story every year and we are done. Don’t use!

Steer clear of Blake and Bubz Boat Stor at all costs. Blake is a complete scammer, as others have said. We stored our boat with Blake from March 2017 through May 2018. We made the mistake of trusting Blake to winterize our boat this past fall. Although he had been tough to reach most of the time the previous summer, when spring came I had a surprisingly easy time getting a hold of him. He answers the phone on my first call and tells me the boat will be available when I want it in about 10 days time. At this point I'm thinking everything is fine so I ask him to perform a U-joint service on the boat prior to us picking it up and he says he'll take care of it. A few days after that his girlfriend calls me and charges my credit card $125 for the U-joint service. Then I get radio silence for several days. No response to texts or phone calls. Finally he tells me, via text, that he has bad news and that multiple boats in his warehouse “froze†over the winter, including ours. He tells me he can have a new engine in our boat in one to two weeks. WHAT?!?! To cut to the chase.....we now know that Blake made no effort to winterize our boat at all. When I went to retrieve the boat, Blake told me the mixture of antifreeze he used apparently didn't have the proper ratio of coolant to water--which turned out to be a complete fabrication Blake told while looking me straight in the eye. We took it to a reputable mechanic and they found no antifreeze in the boat whatsoever. Not a drop. I now know that proper winterizing would only involve pure antifreeze anyway, no water. Blake ruined a perfectly good engine in a boat just 5 years old by not performing a routine, $100 service that he promised us he would take care of. He couldn't even be bothered to let us know he wasn't going to do it / couldn't afford the supplies / whatever the issue was. Our block was cracked in multiple places and the engine had to be replaced.

So blake comes off as a great guy he will tell you everything you want to hear but he is a fraud. It started last summer when he began a fiberglass repair on my swim platform that was never finished and everytime i asked he promised it would be done that week. Then came winter storage i had him winterize and store the boat indoors for the year which is great, he even texted me when he winterized it and all was fine until april when i was ready to get the boat out and he wouldnt respond to my calls or text and finally after several attempts i was able to get the boat out to find out not a drop of antifreeze went through it. Besides him lying to my face everytime we met i then found out several other boats were in the same situation as me. He took out an insurance claim on my boat and several others in febuary when he claims he knew bothing about it. DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT TRUST BLAKE WITH YOUR BOAT OR RV he will leave you with nothing but a headache and a lot of money out of pocket on your end. I learned my lesson i dont want others to make the same mistake.

SHADY, DISHONEST, SCAMMER!!!! Blake was supposed to do what he described as an "easy engine swap". Told me 2 weeks turn around. 7 weeks later and an incredible amount of lies, HE STARTED DEMANDING MONEY to finish the boat. The boat was never started, it's missing pieces, and there are lose wires everywhere. I have to take the boat to another marina for them to finish. They literally have to take the engine out and start over (at my expense). Looks like from other reviews, I am not the first to get taken by Blake. Every week he had a different excuse as to why the boat was not done. Usually the night before I was supposed to pick it up. - He concocted an elaborate lie about the Mercruiser rep coming in to program my computer. It never happened. - He told me every week he was headed to the lake to "test" the boat. He had never even started it. In fact, it was still in pieces every time he told me this. - Told me he "borrowed" a computer to test the engine - A lie. - Told me he "blew an oil line" while testing the boat. A lie. - Told me he was going to deliver the boat to the lake. 5 separate times in one weekend he did not show up when he said he was "one his way". The boat was still in pieces. He never had any intention of delivering it - After all that, he started demanding money to finish the boat. Stated he has 35+ hrs in labor at this point. 3 other Marina's quoted me 16 hrs for an engine swap. So he is either incompetent or lying. How do you have 35 hrs into this and your nowhere near finished??? - His view is, even though he lied repeatedly, was 7 weeks late, and the boat was not done - I still owed him that money because he tried..... Why would someone spend all that time and never turn the key to see if their hard work was worth it? - He took the stern drive off and could not get it back on. Spent several hrs trying to get it back on which he wanted to bill me for. Then tried to tell me I needed $600 in more parts for him to get it on. Amazingly it "fell back on" one day.... - I had 2 very nice Interstate marine batteries. HE STOLE THEM!!! Along with a few other parts from my old engine that are missing. Said he would find and return them, but has since stopped all communication. This has been the worst experience of my life. We lost the use of our boat the entire summer. This engine is going to end up costing me twice as much as it would than if I would have just taken it to a more reputable place. I am a pretty trusting and laid back guy. Blake took advantage of that. Sad to say there are people like this out there. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY and PLEASE TELL EVERYONE TO DO THE SAME! ***UPDATE - my engine was never blown! Because of Blake's incompetence I replaced a perfectly good engine. Had to take it to a more reputable place to have it finished. Blake had smashed in the oil pan, no hose clamps on any of the water hoses, engine was about 2" out of alignment, he put 2 broken spark plugs in the new engine and used stacks of washers instead of the correct spacers to align the accessories. It took the 4 hrs to correct the wiring. He fried the computer so I had to buy a new computer for $1,800 and spend another $600 to get it reprogrammed. I spent $12k on a problem I never had and to fix all the stuff Blake damaged. Like a true coward, Blake has taken off. He stopped all communication - running from any responsibility he had. You might want to check out his BBB file. He tried more lieing in his rebuttal. When I pointed it out with texts and emails - he ran away from the BBB. Just a horrible human being. Please stay clear.

I can't get my boat out of storage. He told me to call the cops and make a report. He also said good luck getting it out in the next 6 months. My plates were stollen off my boat trailer while in his possession.

Took my 2000 Baja to Blake for an overheating issue. Not only did he fix the issue but he got it back to me quicker then expected. Great turnaround time and an enjoyable experience. Wil be bringing her back later this year for winterizing. Recommend to anyone.
