I own a 1995 Ferrari F355. I had a alternator charging problem and took this to 5 different shops and none of them could figure it out. I even took it to a Ferrari dealership in Chicago and they were dumbfounded and could not fix it. I take it to Autohaus Dierolf and they had it fixed in 2 days for a really cheap price. These guys know what the hell there doing thats for sure.

I have super mixed feelings about this place. They're disorganized and super selective in easy work and general maintenance. They don't have the capacity to take on more serious work on Mercedes especially diesels. Better to look elsewhere I wanted to like these guys but they're it the trusty Mercedes mechanic that cares to know you.

This place is getting more and more difficult to trust in terms of reliability as time goes on. I like these guys but there are some blatant issues I’d like addressed. (The not so great)- Whether you call or stop in for a quote expect to wait at least 3-4 days to get one, often times up to a week or more.- I understand they get very busy but I think they’ve got more cars than they can handle. I took in my Mercedes for a relatively simple Alternator+ Valve Cover Gasket replacement and they had the vehicle for over 3 months, which I think personally is unacceptable, it’s not like I was getting an Full engine+ transmission rebuild.- There was an occasion where they decided to fix my broken, yet still functional hood latch and charge me for it when I never mentioned anything of it during the initial consultation, especially to have it fixed. Nice gesture but not cool to charge me when it could have been done as a courtesy if they were going to touch it especially during a $1200 visit.- They could definitely use a bigger facility and more staff and I feel like that would ease up on the crazy amount of time it can take to get your vehicle back, Although I do understand overhead and business costs.(The Good)- Old school shop with all ASE Technicians very experienced on MB/Daimler vehicles as well as Mercedes Star Diagnostics systems (Dealer Spec Computer)- Doesn’t really matter how old or new the car is they can get the job done.- Out of their own kindness they have went out of their way to supply me with little items I have needed when I was working on the car myself at home and wondered if they had so I didn’t have to wait for shipping or pay crazy dealer prices on 96th street. I came in one time needing coil pack and wheel bolts and Louis didn’t even think twice about going back and grabbing some without even charging me.

These guys do excellent work for a fair price. If you have a German car, do yourself a favor and bring it here. I have had my car in several times and they always take great care of it.The mechanics know their stuff and are friendly on top of that. Plus, as an added bonus, you can check out the latest entries to the classic showroom out front. They do a ton of work on older European cars. It's always fascinating to see what they have in for that day.I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone in the area.Services: Auto maintenance
