I would give 0 stars if I could. Door was propped open at 5:30pm today, another customer in the store as well. I walked into the store and couldn’t find prices on anything. Found a book I liked and asked about the price. Nothing I saw had prices listed so if you are going to have a problem with someone asking about a price, put the prices on items. The man working offered the option to get engraving for an additional price but would take 10 days. When I told him I would be out of town before then he offered the option to ship the product which was nice. I told him I would think about the engraving and continued looking around.This man then stated that he closed at 5pm today in the worst tone (It was 5:37pm and I had only been there a couple minutes). The door was still propped open. I said “Sorry I’ll get out of here didn’t realize you were closed” he responded “yeah thanks” as I started walking out he said “We’re open 10-7 tomorrow”. I guarantee if I had bought the book he wouldn’t have said I closed at 5 today.Way to make a customer feel welcomed and encourage business. Extremely thankful I didn’t give him my business. So condescending and rude.Also humorous that people continue to leave reviews about this man’s pathetic, embarrassing behavior and he continues to defend himself saying everyone else has misconstrued the situation.Do better, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been in business for 20 years and have many happy customers. I can assure you the customers are there for the product and not for you.Genuinely, you should be ashamed of your behavior. Do better as a person.

I have been VERY frustrated dealing with my experience from Addendum. I purchased items while I was visiting family over the Christmas holiday. I had the items shipped to me as I live out of state. First the items took over a month to arrive to my house and when the items arrived, they were both broken. I have been trying to rectify the situation since February. After calling the store multiple times and not getting through, I finally got through and they told me I had to speak to the owner Shane who was away in Europe. They gave me his email address to reach out. I sent 3 emails with very detailed information of the situation (pictures and receipts) trying to get a response so I could get the situation taken care of. I never received a response from my emails, so I tried to call the store again. I got another sales person on the phone and she communicated she couldn't help, I had to speak to Shane, but he was once again out of town. I left my information and asked for a phone call back, which I never received. I then tried calling several other times to which I could only get voicemail. I left at least two voicemails explaining the situation and once again never got a return call. Finally, at the start of this week I got through and Shane happened to answer the phone. I explained my situation and he immediately tried to get me off the phone and told me he would have to get in touch with the company who made the items, and their rep would reach out to me. That seemed a little off to me, but I emphasized the importance of someone getting back to me ASAP as I have been trying to resolve this situation since February. As I sit here 4 days later, I have never received a call back from Addendum or the company who made the items I purchased. I have tried calling the store during business hours more than 10 times, with no pickup. I have left a voicemail and obviously no response back. I am hoping by writing this review and making my situation public (which I have desperately tried not to do), I can get some resolution to this issue. I spent $192.41 and have nothing to show for it other than broken items in a box!

I absolutely love this store and never fail to leave without several items! You can find the most unique and quality pieces for your home here. The candle selection is also incredible. Shopping at Addendum is so easy and peaceful, no one upsells you or bothers you. Wish there was a bigger location!!

Was shocked to witness how arrogant and rude the man behind the counter was. Went to the other store across the path and had the same experience from the woman. What do you do when that happens? You never go back and you make sure all of your friends and family members know to avoid.

What a gem of a place, I haven't seen this much Mackenzie Childs in one place since I left New York, in Aurora. Great people and a great variety of MC products to shop with. This is one of the few notable primary shopping outlets that is recognized by MC. If you are in the Carmel area. Swing by and see if there is anything that tickles your fancy.

Their website has a contact us section that I've filled out numerous times inquiring about products. No one bothers to reply back. You reach out via their social media, no help. Customer service is definitely lacking. There are other stores locally that carry some of the same brands that offer much better customer service!

I visited this store several weeks ago to buy a gift as I love their merchandise. However while I was there a man who appeared to be owner or manager (Shane?) was publicly and loudly criticizing the kind women employees on the way they input a transaction . It was so humiliating for them and it was not deserved. It was so uncomfortable being in the store we left (did not buy what I intended) I’ve shopped here before and the ladies who work there are fantastic. Sadly I can’t bring myself back to a place who treats their employees with so little respect.

Extremely rude, no customer service. Overpriced. Nothing here is worth what you would pay and the owners are awful. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else.

The store itself is what you'd expect of a boutique store but there is a male employee that was very rude. I was there today with my friends, one of whom is visibly disabled. This man stared at her throughout the store & continued to do so as we walked down the street. He & another blonde employee about 20 min. after we left the store then took a picture of my disabled friend as they were driving past us. They were incredibly rude!

i adore jellycat stuffed animals, and they carry a large stock in the store which i love. they share my passion for the little guys as well, and make me want to come back and buy more (i definitely don't need any more haha) great store!

Very few items have the price listed. I purchased a pair of readers along with a few notecards, and after I walked out of the store, I realized the readers were $89. I walked back into the store less than 10 minutes later and told the sales lady I did not know they were $89 and would like to return them. She said, “sorry, no returns, only store credit” she then said, “I’m not the owner,” and when I asked to speak to the owner, she told me, “sorry, you can’t, he’s in Europe right now.” Besides the fact that she was haughty and cold, I was taken aback by the unwillingness to accept a return less than 10 minutes after purchase by the same saleslady. --The owner subsequently sent the message below, which I appreciate. I am from out of town, so, unfortunately, what is done is done, but I do appreciate the response. The store is beautiful with beautiful products on display.

I purchased a MacKenzie Childs tea kettle a couple of years ago; and, only recently purchased a lamp from the Keystone store and a pillow from the Carmel store. Enjoyed the shopping experience; much to choose from. I am looking forward to returning to see what else I can't seem to live without. :)

I went into the store and bought a few things and then left the store. A few minutes later I decided I didn't like what I bought. It had been 10 minutes since I purchased the items and when I went back in to return an item, the person work said they only offer in store credit. So, I got a card with the credit on

Love this store! Can always find the perfect gift or a little something for myself. They carry Agraria home fragrance, Nora Roberts, Kathy Adams calendars, Michael Aram and the list goes on. Always try here first...save yourself some time shopping at other gift stores. Thanks Addendum!!
