“Well needed for the Air Force Base, housing and surrounding area. Has more necessity and grocery items than I expected a DG to have. Really impressed and will be saving a lot of gas by not having to drive 10-15 minutes away to get groceries. Just hoping it stays nice.”
“Clean station. Kroger gas was fifteen cents more a gallon than other gas stations in town so my rewards cents off didn't do much to discount gas purchase. They had windshield wiper fluid in reservoir.”
“Really nice store. Everything was full and fresh. Everyone was busy stocking. Only complaint I had was cashier vented to me about the coworkers which I didn't need to know about.”

“With these crazy busy days right before the holiday, I was running errands and had some teenagers in the car, had thought to stop at village pantry to get there donuts that are marked down half off after 4:00 p.m., picked out a dozen donuts ( still in a hurry to get errands ran) , when one of our local police officers came in, and stopped to hold the door open to the donut case, while I picked out the kids' donuts! Thank you officer tussy and thank you village pantry for having great donuts all the time!!”
“Best price on gas today but after I started filling up I notice that it was 87% while back at station across from McClure it was like 4cents different but it was 88%”
“Best dollar general store we have in Peru. All the other ones are messy and the cashiers are rude! Love Linda and the new younger guy, they both are great with customers and treat u like a person and not a burden.”
“They were 10 minutes from closing as I ran in the door last minute to get necessities for the morning ( coffee !! ) , The lady at the front greeted me and very nicely said that they were to close in 10 minutes, rush to the coffee aisle then headed towards check out when I thought of ice cream, ran back to get that, back to check out and the staff was very patient and kind and didn't say anything harsh or begrudgingly because they were about to close.! a lot of times when you run into the store the last few minutes before closing they frown on you and talk and a manner that's not very inviting, that was not the case here. Thank you Dollar general staff!”
“In past several weeks have gained new employees great at customer service and working. The isles were a huge disaster in recent weeks with water area over run and impassible. Totally a liability safety and fire hazard. I went back a couple days later and it looked the best it has in a year. Assistant MGR has common sense on running stock only a few carts at a time. I was pleasantly surprised. I like the new helpful, courteous, employees.”

“I stopped at DG for cookies, root beer soda and Stake-ums for dinner. Went in got what I needed and checked out with the assistance of a nice and courteous woman named Jess. When I went home only one bag was in my vehicle. The other was at the store so I called immediately. Jess assured me that the bag was still there. I drove back, got more items, and she helped me again along with giving me the items I left. She saved, not only my family's dinner, but my sweet tooth.

“Great for when you just need one or two things. Parking is near the door and it's easy in and out. Also can find affordable seasonal decor and other fun items.”
“I normally wouldn't bother with reviewing a DG but my experience here was memorable. An associate Kyler was so helpful to me in finding the right medicine in a pinch and had positive energy so much so you'd think he was a manager. It was very refreshing just passing through that there are still young people that care... The store itself was tidy and so was the parking lot”
