Four years ago, while on my way to a work site, my partner and I decided to stop by and take a look around. The first thing I noticed was the aroma! I just couldn't help myself but just stand there and enjoy all of the pleasant smells. They have several shelves stocked with sample containers so that you would be able to take a sample of each spice so that you can make an informed decision of what to purchase. The following spices/flavors are the best I have ever tasted. Vanilla extract (nothing else I have tried comes close), cinnamon (same as the vanilla), I am asked regularly to pick up their lemon pepper for gifts. Those are just three of the many that I buy from this company. When ever my work takes me to Brownstown I always stop by and stock up. I don't want to list other brands by name, but I will say that those other brands do not compare.

Marion-Kay makes the best spices, and they are right here in Brownstown, Indiana. At their factory store, you can not only buy their products but also see lots of memorabilia from the company's history.

This place is great. The history wafts out the front door as strongly as the smell of the spices. The best from every corner of the planet is available in small town Indiana. A family owned business, when you stop in you'll be helped by the third generation owner/operators. Every time in I learn something new. Fundraising, commercial restaurants, and home cooks alike can find the best of the best right here. Chat them up, they've got stuff in back you've never seen before. Who's ever even heard of fine flake salt? I hadn't, but I have three pounds now. You gotta ask for it special. Read up on the history between Marion Kay and Colonel Sanders then plan a trip and stop in. The restaurant with the buckets of chicken isn't the only place to get the original recipe.
