They actually gave me a price up front to move my dog's eye

It's been a few years since I've used this vet and likely won't again. My two visits were completely different though. The prices at this clinic are much higher than other vets in Brownsburg and Indianapolis
My first time bringing my senior dog was good and bad. The support staff is great. They were very sweet to my terrified dog and even ran out of the clinic to help me when he escaped his collar and started running.
The low point was one of the vets who may or may not work there anymore. She spent less than 5 minutes examining my dog and the entire time I was speaking and explaining concerns she wasn't listening and you could tell she already had her mind made up on the diagnosis. I've seen doctors like this and it is one of the most inconsiderate behavior towards patients.
She was rude to my dog and me with terrible "bedside manner". He was terrified and she was clearly irritated by this. She blamed me for my dogs reoccurring ear infections despite him being a long earred dog with bad allergies. I love my dog like family and do anything to make him feel comfortable. I felt like a child being chastised during that appointment.
My second visit went well three weeks later. The next vet I saw was compassionate and got down on my dogs level to help him feel less scared. He was caring and performed a thorough examination. He also prescribed medicine for his itchy ears while the first vet did nothing. He seemed to truly love animals and made sure both my dog and I felt appreciated.
This was 2019, so everything could have changed in the past 5 years. Based on other reviews I've seen recently, I will not bring my dog back. I wish my first visit was as positive as my second, but the inconsistency is hard to overlook. Hopefully the clinic is working on these issues.
Edit- I also want to add that they quoted me several hundred dollars for a dental including extraction in 2021 but even now in 2024 my dog still has all of his teeth intact with no pulp exposure. I'm glad I never agreed to this procedure because clearly they were in it for the money and were willing to throw my dogs comfort and wellbeing aside for it.

They got my cat in the same day and were able to get him the surgery he needed! Such a blessing to our family! Everyone is SO KIND and they explain everything and make sure you know how much you’ll be paying and how to best care for your furbaby during recovery! Highly recommend! They even had a room specifically for cats with a cat tree and the calming cat plug in!

I will never come back. I have brought my boys here ever since they were kittens and they will never be returning. I walked in this morning for our appointment and was immediately questioned by the front desk staff with “why are you here?” I replied I had appointments for my cats, ignoring the initial rude statement because it’s early on a Saturday, it’s whatever. But then the lady with the pink bun started talking to me like I was the gum on the bottom of her shoe. That I didn’t have an appointment and “there’s not even a doctor here today” like this is information I should just know. I explained that I received the confirmation email for today and that this had been a twice rescheduled appointment by them. She was hostile and rude and when I expressed that I was confused she actually had to catch herself from laughing at me. I told her I didn’t understand her hostility and that empathy would go along way and her attitude got worse. It was a simple scheduling problem, honestly not a huge deal. Had there been any kind of understanding or kindness I would have gladly come back for another appointment. But there is no way any business that lets staff speak to customers that way will ever touch my pets. I was more than understanding when they needed to reschedule with me before, but when my loyalty as a customer is met with hatred for no reason, you lost my trust. Do not bring your pets here.

The vet techs are extremely inexperienced and try to act like they are doctors. This place will nickel and dime you for every charge. I also paid twice to have the same x rays done. Both times they said "oh no signs of cancer here." Guess what? My dog did have cancer and I had to go to another facility to find out. I highly suggest you go to another vet!

Used to love this vet. Have been bringing my dogs here for about 10/12 years now. I'm sad to say I'm on the hunt for a new vet.. Went through a rough patch earlier in the year, couldn't get my dogs checked out cause of a new policy not allowing payments even though I have made payments to them before, always on time every payment and always paid off. Fast forward to this past week, took my puppy in to get lumps and a hernia checked out.. Lumps on side got dismissed for vaccine lumps even though she's been completely vaccinated for at least 2 months and the lumps didn't appear until this week. Was told to give her Benadryl until goes away but only has gotten worse. They tell me today to bring her back in for another exam fee at a discounted rate since I had just brought her in.. I will not be bringing her back to a vet that no longer cares about our pets and only the money they can get.. It's pointless to be a loyal customer to them when they can't even be a loyal caring vet to us.

I drive an hour one way just to come to this vet. I have never received better care or my animal or when addressing me and my many anxieties. An excellent establishment, I will go here for the rest of my pet owning years.

DO NOT TAKE YOU BELOVED PET HERE; I took my sweet dog here for a wellness visit on 4/18/2024 and he was a happy, healthy boy (as he had been all his life). On 5/1/2024, he grew extremely ill. Getting to even speak to a front desk person during this time often took 15 minutes + which shocked me given the size of the office. My dog came in for labs and had lost two lbs in two weeks, Dr. Woodruff called me to discuss the labs and stated my dogs pancreas was having issues due to eating something his stomach didn't like. I specifically asked and he assured me this was an illness and not something that would impact him long term. We gave the meds, he improved a bit but on 5/8, he was back to having issues. I called again (more waiting and being told they're short staffed). Dr. Woodruff said this was arthritis (a premature, dismissive diagnosis in my opinion given we only had 1 set of IRREGULAR labs and a 10 minute visit prior) - the vet did not suggest coming back in, doing additional labs to ensure the issue had resolved etc. he instead suggested a supplement and meds, we picked up immediately but the instructions were unclear so we called and it took the office 5 days to get back to us on the instructions for the supplements. His condition improved a bit but then the evening of 5/21/2024 he was rushed to the ER vet and within 5 minutes, they knew exactly what was wrong with him and that he had internal bleeding due to a tumor on his spleen that had ruptured and was bleeding into his stomach. After his passing, I requested the actual lab results from 5/1/2024 to find that Dr. Woodruff had discussed one of SEVEN markers on the labs that were outside of their range. Some of which clearly pointed to anemia (something his care plan did not address and also a potential sign of internal bleeding). I requested the vet to call me after his passing, he left a voicemail but again did not address any of the 6 other items that were not discussed in the labs but rather made excuses for how they could not have known of this issue. After further research, it's estimated that 1 in 5 golden retrievers (the only breed the vet office has my dog categorized from his mixed breed) develop hemangiosarcoma. Golden Retrievers are a very common pet and how a vet is unaware or unwilling to do testing on something that impacts 1 in 5 of these dogs is baffling and WRECKLESS. I know the vet did not cause my dog's health issues but I feel strongly that because of the actions and dismissiveness of Dr. Woodruff, my dog had to suffer unnecessarily.

Been going to Dr. Woodruff for years, his and his tech's have always been there for me and my pets. Their bedside manner is impeccable and they are very good at explaining things in a way that makes sense to us less versed in the realm of animal medicine.
