I hate writing reviews but for this store i will. They are the most kind and helpful group of people you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. From the people who are there to just help you finalize your purchase, to the optometrist, they are amazing and worthy of praise at every level! I will forever go to a VisionWorks in hopes that I can always have such a wonderful experience.

As an optician myself, please do not go here. Truly the worst eye place I’ve ever been to. The staff makes you feel like you’re not welcomed. First, I had called to make an eye appointment for eye contacts and asked if they took my insurance. The person on the other end said they did take my insurance and if they ran into any issues they’d contact me prior to my appointment. It wasn’t until the day of that they said insurance does not cover it and I’d have to pay $60 out of pocket.
When I first walked in I greeted the woman who didn’t even look up at me or returned my greeting. Same thing when I saw the Dr. she did not introduce herself when she walked in. During the exam, I felt it was rushed and I was expecting the Dr. to verify I could see clear by letting me see the letters through both lenses at the same time at the end, but that did not happen. When she’d ask me “which is better 1 or 2” I kept saying “they’re both blurry” and did not feel like she listened or tried to correct them. When I got my prescription, I noticed it was completely different than my last prescription from Lenscrafters’s (of a year ago). I went from being a -4.75 and -5.00 to somehow getting a prescription of -3.50 & -4.50. After the exam it felt like they kept pushing me to get glasses and almost seemed upset that I said I didn’t want any 3 times. I wasn’t interested as I already own multiple pairs and they’re all transition lenses, and I knew my insurance would not cover the cost for a new pair of transitions. I do not wear any that aren’t transitions because my eyes are very sensitive to light and get super watery if I don’t have UV light protection. After saying no, they made me feel cornered by insisting and almost judging my answer, so I felt I had no other choice but to say yes.
I picked up my glasses & contacts today and I could not see, not even the big letters on some boxes close to me. When I mentioned this, all they did was tell me to wear it for a day and let my eyes adjust. They did not take the glasses to verify they had the correct prescription or give me something to read off of so that they could check my vision. Same thing with the eye contacts, I cannot see through them. This just verifies that the exam was rushed and done poorly. I feel I wasted my time and money here.

Was told I had been a pain since I came in for the two UNFORGIVABLE sins of 1..trying to pick out my glasses BEFORE my eye appointment and 2...putting the sale on the wrong card even though I realized it immediately...the only way to fix it is waiting 30 days for a check. So im out 500$ for 30 days. Who has an extra $500 laying around?Not a good policy. HAD been my go to place for glasses but after the lady said she'd be happy if I didn't come back ... was never nasty to anyone or raised my voice. ...I'm looking for somewhere new. And all my friends and family who I've tried to get to go to visionworks will follow me right out the door.

Every time I go here the employees have some sort of technical difficulties that keep me there way longer than I expect to be.
Some employees are nice, but most are not. The doctor is particularly unfriendly and seems like she's just trying to make it through the day.
For transparency, I have vision insurance that gives me a $10 copay for the checkup and a $110 allowance for either glasses or contacts each year. I went to get a checkup and contacts (just one box per eye), and the total came out to something like $280. Each box of contacts was $130! On top of that, they charge an extra $80 for a "contacts fitting" if you're getting contacts. I asked two employees which part of the exam was the contact fitting since I've already been wearing contacts, and what they essentially told me is that the $80 is an extra charge that is backed up by absolutely no cost or even labor on their end - it's a fee for nothing.
Since the prices were so insane, I had asked for a cheaper alternative to the contacts I usually get. It took an employee 10 minutes or so to find a cheaper alternative, and by the time I came back for a contacts follow up so that I could actually order them, the staff had lost all record that I wanted the cheaper brand and they had to look it up all over again.
It really seems like the staff couldn't really care less about what the customer wants unless it's part of the typical routine of getting a checkup and then giving them money for glasses/contacts.

Truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a vision appointment I didn't even make it back to see the doctor and I had a terrible experience The lady with blonde hair is extremely short and pushy I would definitely not want to work for her and I will never come back to this location again. I tried several times to tell the person that was working with me I had different insurance and then she looks up an old insurance and tells me I'm only eligible for an exam which is my other insurance I have two insurances but nobody would listen to me and I had a truly awful experience thanks but no thanks.

Melissa Marks was super helpful and not the least bit pushy. Your selection of ultra lightweight frames in petite size range was better than the competitor where I had just shopped.

Blonde lady was extremely short and rude when it came to my insurance information. Staff unfriendly and it always seems like the optometrist is guessing when it comes to my prescription. Will never go back because of the way they have treated me. Awful staff who don’t know what they’re doing
