We would recommend this company. We had a few hiccups along the way, just like you do with any big Reno project but we ended up with an absolutely beautiful deck and beautiful bathroom.

Edit 8/2/23: To tell the entire story, I asked Sure Seal Contractors to come out to give a quote for siding and gutter repair. Derek came to my home on 6/30/23. He looked over everything and then told me he would get back in touch with me within a week, maybe two. Eleven days later on 7/11, I emailed Derek asking for an update on how the quote was going. I received no response. On 7/24, a full 24 days after the initial walkthrough I emailed again asking for an update on the quote. At that point, Derek finally responded telling me that the quote was still not ready, but I would get it soon. I absolutely understand being extremely busy; it's a busy time of year. But it would have taken 30 seconds to type up a quick email to let me know that and to say they were still working on it. Instead they ghosted me for almost a month. It wasn’t until after I posted a 1-star review on Google that anyone got back to me. From that point on, the ONLY thing they cared about was getting me to change that review. I spoke to Derek on the phone on 7/27 where I finally received a verbal quote. I asked to be sent the quote in writing and Derek promised me that I would have it by Tuesday morning 8/1. He then asked me to change my review. I told him that I would work on adjusting it as was appropriate to the service I received. A little over 12 hours later, I received an email from the front office person, not with the written quote as I expected, but with a pushy directive asking why I hadn’t changed the review yet. At that point, I had a bad taste in my mouth. I wish they had spent a little less time and energy on forcing me to change my review and a little more on actually providing me with good service. I responded to that message saying I would change the review when the services received accurately reflected a higher score. Derek then called me once a day for the next two days, leaving messages on my phone with no information other than “call me back.” I never did receive the quote in writing. On Wed, 8/2 I called him back and the first and only thing he wanted to discuss with me was why I hadn’t changed the review. There was no interest on his end whatsoever in continuing a business relationship. The only thing they cared about was this stupid review score. I got upset, and he continued to push about the review and gaslight me about previous communication. We agreed at that point that we would not be doing further business.I did not want this. I did not want to get into a fight with some random company. I just wanted to get my siding repaired. As he told me he would, Derek responded to my review. They of course lie about my "foul language" and "disrespect" and try to tell an entirely different story. At the end of the day, I have the emails and the timestamps, so they can attempt to spin reality all they want, but I am not buying. At this point, it is up to the consumer who they want to believe. All I know is that I will never be going back to them, and I can guarantee no one I know will be either.Original review 7/24/23: Derek came out to my home to assess. He promised to get me a quote in the next week or two. It's been over a month and I've reached out multiple times and cannot get a response.

They didn't seem to care about quality work. It's like they wanted to do a poor job. I won't use them again. I won't recommend them to friends nor anyone.

Had work done in 2021. Contractors would tell us they were coming out and then just not show up, several times. Delayed sanding the drywall excessively, even though it was dry enough to sand. Refused to correct an issue with attic insulation until our project manager forced them to, claiming it wasn't their responsibility. Ignored or didn't notice certain issues during initial consultation and were going to perform a repair over rotted subfloor that sagged under weight until we confronted them about it. Weren't clear about communicating with us during the consultation process or what the contract covered and didn't cover. I could go on. Derek was especially unprofessional in his dealings with us and often quite rude.Services: Drywall installation

In general, my bathroom remodel looks great. Their tiler did a good job. Derek is great at communication. However, they give some push back on small changes made to the project and I do not feel they go above and beyond. For example, on the last day they discovered my shut off valves under sink were bad. They did not offer to replace those, so I had a non-working faucet. It only took $110 and 30 min for a plumber to come out next day and replace. I was also under the impression their subs are in-house however they call local businesses (HFI) to do some work. Overall, I am happy with how my bathroom turned out and I was updated regularly but a couple small things were overlooked.Services: Paint indoors

Derek and crew added insulation and baffles to our attic. We received great service and they were very responsive to our questions. Good price and everything was cleaned up afterward. I'd highly recommend them.

Over past few years Sure Seal has rebuilt a Chimney, replaced the roof, installed new gutters and placed gutter leaf guards on my home. They are always responsive to calls, fast accurate estimates, good prices, on schedule, good clean up -- never had a single problem or issue. They do excellent work. They keep you informed and updated if supplies need to be ordered. They tell you when they are coming and even if they expect the work to be loud or disruptive. We have called Sure Seal for roof repairs and replacements ever since two (that's TWO) large trees fell on our rental house next door, several years ago. They have done at least four jobs for us, and there is a good reason why they will do the next as well. Even during busy times, they have been able to schedule us promptly, and they work quite efficiently. Management and staff are knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and reliable. Edited Review: My previous review on this company was a little harsh. I decided to wait until they finished the repair to give my final analysis. This was a professional team and the rep did a good job of keeping up in communication to get the quote signed. Once it was signed, he told me it would be a few weeks but it ended up being about 7 weeks. I needed them to do a small section of drywall repair but upon further review, they said it was plaster on the ceiling. I was a bit irritated it was taking so long but overall, this is a solid company with solid workers.Service: Drywall repair

Derek Flynn was our project manager. We were adding a closet to a room downstairs. They were very professional and Derek kept us informed all the time. When they bid on the project they gave a very detailed list of all supplies needed etc. , we had no surprises. When any issues came up Derrick was right on top of things. I’ve already recommended Sure Seal to a friend who wants to finish her basement. I know this was a small project and many contractors didn’t even return my calls, or they made appointments and didn’t show. I would use Sure Seal again!
