They take care of their delivery drivers

Staff issues upon staff issues. They will email you at 6:00 at night that due to low employees the class is closed tomorrow. This has happened 2 times in the last 3 weeks. They will also CONSTANTLY ask for volunteers for their child to stay home. If we could keep our kids home we would not send them to the daycare. Otherwise place is ok, clean, staff that actually shows up is nice and provide good activities. But these closures with minimal notice are extremely infuriating.

Hi all - wanted to share for parents looking for care. From our experience, stay away from KinderCare on Sare road. If it works, great. But just a word of warning. We did the 2 week drop-in at KinderCare over this holiday break, and our 17 month old has had two incidents, back to back days, where he hit his head. The first time he “slipped” out of their lap, while being rocked to sleep (??). We got told at pick up. No messages or calls. The second, they put him on a bench “next to the teacher” and he fell off. We did get a message about this one.We will never be going back and I worry about their ability to care for young children. Felt the need to share for others.

They can't keep staff. They're constantly asking families to stay home due to ratios. If there aren't enough families who volunteer they choose which families can't bring their children in. The building doesn't look clean most days.

Seriously understaffed (likely due to low wages) and high staff turnover. This causes children and staff to move rooms frequently to meet adult-child ratio requirements. All of these result in inconsistency of care for young children.

Unfortunately, I recommend parents to stay away from this daycare. I recently left this daycare for two main reasons. First, they are consistently short-staffed. And by consistently, I mean almost literally every week since the beginning of 2021. When short-staffed, the center director, Kari, will message parents asking for parents to volunteer to keep their kids home. Second, I learned that the center director was previously dismissed as director from not one, but two, previous daycares for poor performance. If I had known about the latter before enrolling my kids there, I never would have done it in the first place.

This has been the absolute BEST experience we’ve had with a daycare. We were a little hesitant because it’s a “branch” of a larger company, but the level of attention, dedication, and sincerity is absolutely unparalleled in Bloomington. They have gone above and beyond to get to know our child and our family. Bonus: they’ve been incredibly receptive to our child’s stuffed animal and go out of their way to accommodate him. We have been at Rainbow for over four months. In that time, we have really gotten to know the teachers and staff on a level we weren’t expecting. At the risk of sounding cliche, they have really become family. I cannot recommend this daycare enough.

My daughter has been attending Rainbow part-time for the last 6 months and it has been good for us so far. Things do seem a little chaotic at times, but I'm sure any room with 8 infants would be! The teachers are sweet and definitely care about their kids.

Came in for a tour a couple months ago. I have a 4 yr old and one on the way. A woman named Mandy gave us the tour. She told us that we shouldn't bring our kids there because we knew someone who worked there. She said it would be a conflict of interest. She treated us like we were wasting her time. Then she bad mouthed us to the person we knew after we had left. Real professional.
