So today 08-06 I go to this store to get a western union transaction. The (supervisor) long ponytail tells me my ID has to match I said it should ... FYI the person who sent it was with me. This lady tells me my MIDDLE name was not on the transaction which is doesn't have to be with western union because it's optional when sending to input the middle name. My bf instantly called her out for discrimination towards me. Her own co workers let her know she was wrong. I mean she was very rude and plain Ole wrong lol. Lied said its policy and it is not in writing of this policy and her boss handled it for us. All over $35 so I knew she was being racist towards me. She seen a black couple and did the most like majority of this city. Crazy part is I'm a whole former correctional officer and I get treated like a meth head here in Bloomington.

Kroger, one of the only grocery stores that can afford to buy all the smaller grocery stores but can't afford to put ONE Cashier on a register before 9:30am. If you shop Kinser Pike Kroger, be prepared to bag your own groceries and use self checkout.

Get Your Food Poisoning Here!
A SELL BY date indicates the day an item must be sold by to be considered safe to consume. The North Kinser Kroger apparently believes sell-bys are more open to interpretation.
Normally, if an item is marked for sale by the 13th, it is deeply discounted for sale on the 12th so that it will meet the deadline. Not so at this location! They play fast and loose with those requirements, especially with pre-made salads and pre-cooked meats, the food items most at risk for making people sick. Today is the 14th. Chickens clearly marked for the 13th are still for sale AND on a heating table, the same meat that was for sale yesterday. When I asked about the items, I was told that the person responsible for that wouldn't be in until 10 am.
No one here considered themselves responsible for ensuring food reheated a day past the sell-by date on a hot table is safe. They shuffled around like characters from a dystopian sci-fi novel, as if they're reanimated shells. "I don't know how to do that," said one, when asked if he thought the reheated meat might need to be removed.
Disgusting.

Why is everything so expensive? Its not inflation "Kroger's profit also topped $2.2 billion, up 35.6% from 2021, outpacing the 7.5% sales growth for the year" Cincinnati Enquirer 3/2/23 . This is price fixing, the grocery store industry does not compete for lower prices any longer. So much for the capitalist competition. Guess the CEO doesn't feel the squeeze when he's making 19 million per year. He should try and live off the 28k avg his employees make for two years and see how he does.
