“i am a very new driver and while parking, my bumper went over the curb and pulled off i as reversed. i called these minton and they were able to see me within the hour. they quoted me for a new bumper but when i couldn’t justify buying a whole new bumper, they bonded everything on so that i could keep my old bumper. they were incredible and transparent about how anything may appear and walked me through the process step by step. the customer service was absolutely incredible. if you are ever in a fender bender i recommend going to minton first.”

Then they extracted a huge mouse nest the snake was feeding from, then they replaced the washer hose that the mice had chewed, leaving my washer jets nonfunctioning. Listen, I have a 17 year old Volkwagon. She's old, I can't put a ton of money in her, and I need her repairs to last. Most American mechanics hate European cars; my last mechanic stopped servicing them after botching my brake installation and ghosting me.
I've been to Southern several times now, and they've fixed everything from those brakes to a loud exhaust to a multi-year mystery of how water was getting inside the car. Took them like an hour. Southern is owned by knowledgeable people who diagnose issues thoroughly and do high quality work.”
“Used verizon roadside assistance to unlock my vehicle and it was super fast and easy. The app picks a company who is available and I got Ken's westside. Ken's Westside was here in 10 minutes! The roadside app estimated longer and he called me on his way to say he was almost here. Super Fast service, easy, no issues, car was unlocked through the window with his tool, all done through the app. Would use Ken's Westside again.”

I’m a parts store driver. Tuesday mid afternoon I was halfway through my shift, the only driver left for the day. Multiple deliveries all over town waiting for me every time I walked back into work. I didn’t get to sit down for my lunch and relax. I’m type one diabetic and slammed all day, tank was empty. The guy who ordered a single lug nut that was I assume covering for the regular guys (I’m assuming some sort of dm) got super shitty When I showed up with his lug nut 1 hour and 28 minutes after he ordered it. I understand how frustrating that can be. But with no notes on the ticket on how quickly he needed it and no call to say it was an emergency and he needed it asap I made the call to take a delivery that had been sitting for 30mins before he put this order in. Again I understand how frustrating it is to not get a simple part in a timely manner. But he met me at the bay door, asked for my name and told me to just take the part back and to tell my bosses that they should expect “his shop” to never order parts through us again and that he got yelled at by the customer because I took to long and that it’s basically my fault.
I’m a delivery driver, if I have 6 deliveries that have no notes or calls on how urgent they are it’s my job to make the most efficient route possible based on order time. I don’t disagree that we should have had more drivers, but that’s not in my control. I am not the one that is supposed to communicate effectively with the parts store and the customer so both of them understand the timeline everyone is working on. This pretty well ruined the rest of my day as I was already worn out.
Walt called my store as soon as he got back to his shop and heard what happened. Walt went out of his way and asked me to bring his next delivery so he could apologize. He looked me in the eye and shook my hand and asked for forgiveness as he explained that there’s no room in his store for people who bully others like how the other man treated me. Walt went out of his way to correct the behavior of one of his superiors no matter the consequences for someone who isn’t even a customer. I’ve spent 4 years working for a different corporate chain and had become heavily disillusioned with the corporate shops as a whole idea because how I have been mistreated. Walt restored my faith in knowing that there are genuine people in positions of power that go out of their way to help others and seek to understand rather than to blame others for their shortcomings. Thank you Walt. I would recommend your shop to anyone looking to get work done in the future.”
“Jonathan Drive, Bloomington IN location. I had a battery starting to act up, I called to make an appointment but was told first come first serve, so off I went! Technician took time to explain the battery test, tested in my presence, verified the battery is dying. Literally 15-20 minutes later I was driving home! The customer service, and attention paid to all my questions was outstanding! Interstate Batteries are the only batteries I buy. You can’t go wrong, especially if you go to this location! Kudos to them, great service!!!”
