This is the 2nd time we stayed here and Jennifer is so friendly and welcoming along with her husband Jim. Very nice couple. We always have a great stay and spend a wonderful time with friends. If we had a complaint about anything she quickly tries to remedy it. Example - It was cold in the crafting area, but she fixed the situation and told us how to get more heat in there. We booked another weekend for next year and so excited about it.

If you craft, sew or scrapbook, then form your group and book a stay at Hickory Road Inn. The craft area is perfect and spacious. Hickory Road Inn is located in a quiet, picturesque setting. They serve up a hardy, one-of-a-kind breakfast you'll not find any place else. Our group rebooks every year.

Hickory Road Inn is a quiet, beautiful crafters retreat. Jen and Jim are wonderful inn keepers. The craft room has large tables for working on your quilts or scrapbooks. Also, there is a small kitchen area for your snacks, crockpot, or cold drinks. Morning breakfast in the dining room is very nice. I'm especially fond of the baked pears and the blueberry French toast. Gather your fellow crafters and schedule a visit.

I have loved retreating to this place for some 15+ years. It’s in a lovely wooded natural setting—taking walks down country roads is a favorite break activity. I’ve spent countless hours reminiscing over precious memories, crafting keepsakes, belly laughing with friends, and healing through art and rest and love. It will always be a sacred space to me. Thank you for making it so special.

This place has a policy of NOT declaring their COVID vaccination status and they also do not wear masks. This is just not acceptable. As a guest, how am I to be comfortable in their establishment. I made a reservation there before the Delta variant was rampant in their area. I am a cancer patient and immunosuppressed. My doctor recommended I do not go. Jim and Jennifer refused to refund my deposit. Our crafting group has been meeting there biannually for 16 years and we have NEVER cancelled booking. Despite that, Jim and Jennifer have a strict cancellation policy. Gone are the days when one or two members of our group could reserve a booking at $20 apiece. Now it's $60 and everybody in the group has to pay in advance. Our group used to feel special when Jim and Leacarol ran the inn. Now it's just business. Frosty business. The rates have skyrocketed and guests are no longer welcome to stay later in the afternoon on Sunday. Also, the breakfasts are uninspired. If you can find another place to stay, do so. Apparently they are booked into 2022 anyway and don't appreciate their loyal patrons.
