this place is a waste of time i am a small business trying to make a living working on vehicles and doing my parts ordering the last 3 times i have called them i have been on hold for over 30min its hard to make a living wasting time trying to get parts i cant spend all day on the phone and not get anything done because of being on hold all day be prepared to waste an hour or better of your time dealing with this company

I'm a service writer for a small town shop. We care about our costumers and always use quality parts from suppliers we trust. We no longer will be doing business with LKQ. First, we tried to order a wheel. Simple right? It was in stock at the local Avon Location. They promised same day delivery and we gave our costumer an estimated time based on this promise. I soon learned that was a mistake. They failed to deliver it for two days, and finally said if we wanted it we would have to come get it ourselves. The job was under an insurance company so we could not take our business elsewhere. I had to leave work, drive 40 Minutes there, wait for 30 minutes in the lobby for a part they had in the back, pay full price for the part, (they tried to charge me for the shipping they failed to do) and then drive back 40 minutes. Then a few months later, one of our techs decided to get an engine from them, as he had had good experiences with LKQ before. He told me to stab him if he ever suggests going to them again (I had warned him of my experiences). The shipping time was ok for the first engine. Two days. We lifted the engine off the pallet and discovered that the oil pan was cracked. This is unacceptable to us so we requested the engine to be exchanged for a better one. at first they refused saying they will send us a new oil pan. We said no because it's obvious they did not inspect the engine before selling it. Who knows what else could be wrong? The exchanged the engine (This time it took Four days) and upon inspection we saw it had a cracked valve cover. This Valve Cover is aluminum and is not cheap. Again they said they would send us a valve cover, and we said that was unacceptable. We requested a refund for the engine and are still waiting for it. We canceled any other transactions we had with them and are still waiting for the money they charged through our card. If I could leave negative stars I would. Never use LKQ.
