Absoloutly useless with cats. Spent money to have bloodwork taken and what not for them to tell us she is fine even tho her behavior is obviously indicating something wrong. Took her to another vet for the same tests and they tell us she has late stage cancer!!!

As long as our animals have been fine, they've been fine. But when our cat is sick, it's hard to deal with them. Took him in for a skin issue in July, dr didn't know what was wrong so they gave him a steroid and antibiotic. 2 weeks later, I called because it didn't seem to be getting better. Now, within the last few weeks, his entire body looks worse. I called this morning with my concern asking to be seen but they wouldn't let me make an appt. she sent a message to the back and said they would call me back. They never did. They never called me back either the first time. This was just kind of the final straw different frustrations over the last 10 years. They are super hard to get into also :(

I absolutely love Avon Veterinary Clinic. We found them about 5 years ago and have been going there ever since. We have had numerous yearly visits, spay and neuters as well as other medical issues having 4 pets. Dr. Mehringer and staff have always been great to us! Their prices are fair and they never pressure you to do more than you’re comfortable with or can afford.
A lot of times animal people are not people people but this clinic sets the standard to take care of both pet and owner.

Doctor is nice. Your whole bill is up charged 3% for using a cc. No advanced notice prior to arrival. Snotty vibes with the office staff. Poor communication. Will give them another chance and update. Maybe they were just having a rough day?

Good vets for general care. I get breed specific information from my breeder.

We took in a feral cat who was emaciated and afraid of everything. She has now filled out and has become the sweetest baby. Avon Vet Clinic was great with her. They are always so good with us and our now 2nd fur baby. Thank you all at Avon Vet Clinic.

Vet is pompous and condescending in manner. Tried to push extremely early spay on our puppy against our breeder's recommendation so we asked for time to think about it. Called back today after consideration to be told that they refuse to spay a dog after only FIVE MONTHS.
That's absolutely ridiculous, and controversially early... What do you tell people who adopt a stray?!
Don't waste your time with a vet who's going to conditionally provide service to your dog. All dogs deserve care. If you're going to get sent somewhere else anyway, why waste time here?

I’m posting this in hopes to save someone else’s dog’s life. Also, if someone else runs into the same situation as me, and needs to take legal action they have proof that Brian and his staff have a history of negligence.
I brought Bailey in because she refused to eat and that is very rare for a lab. Brian the “vet” said it was an upset stomach and said he was going to prescribe some stomach medicine and she would be okay. I wasn’t okay with that answer, so he said he could run some blood work, but didn’t find it necessary. I asked him to run the bloodwork and he agreed. I also pointed out to them I thought her eyes looked different, like they were a little yellow and they told me it was probably from stress. The next day they called and said her bloodwork came back normal and to just keep her on the medicine. After 2 days her symptoms seemed to be getting worse and she was drinking excessive water and hadn’t pooped which had me extremely worried, I called them and they said take her to the urgent care because it might be a blockage since she wasn’t pooping and they wouldn’t be able to get her in since it was a Friday afternoon. I get to the ER and the doctor said he was waiting on her bloodwork, but wanted to get some more since she was already there to see if things changed. The doctor came back within 30 minutes and looked at Baileys eyes and asked me if I was sure they said her bloodwork was okay and I said yes. He said that both his bloodwork and Avon vet showed it was her liver. I was in shock and trying to figure out what to do next, so my sister called Avon vet and asked why they said her bloodwork came back normal. They lied and said they never told me her bloodwork came back normal. I took Bailey to 2 different ERs and paid $4,000 to save her life, there’s no way they would’ve told me it was her liver and I not run to the ER. Them not taking accountability is disgusting and could’ve cost my dog her life. Even if it was mistake, I would've still been upset, but understanding. There was no apology or follow up from. Stay away from here.
