I called two weeks ago for an appointment for help with my rent ….. I went into and they said they had me down for utilities …. So I said okay there must of been a misunderstanding basically and that I need help with my rent or I’m going too lose my house if I can’t figure something out and they gave me a paper that my landlord had too fill out and I asked if I could fill everything else out and show proof of everything and drop the paper off tomorrow and I was told no and I felt just very looked down on I’ve always been lucky enough too have a job but 2 months ago I ended up losing my job of 5 years for something so stupid and I’m in tears with my baby and they say well we can’t do anything because we had you down for something else like I understand that but dang I’m obviously a mom needing help , scared and not knowing what to do and I was turned down and was told I could get an appointment in October because they were fully booked … and I understand that but I really don’t see what the problem was filling out everything else and turning in one paper tomorrow and why I was treated so poorly and like I was dumb I already felt guilty having too ask for help so now I literally have no idea what to do or where too go I start my new job Monday but still I’m scared I don’t want to lose my home that I’ve been at for 7 years I just really don’t understand why y’all couldn’t or wouldn’t give me a break …. I’ve never felt so small in my life and on top of being a mom just failing my kids so can someone please tell me what the big deal was … even if it’s like some kind of law or something idk why couldn’t you guys have a little more compassion…

Great help and wonderful staff and I saw lot's of nice stuff you can come and get,I wasn't there for stuff, but they helped me out with my bills and I really can't thank y'all enough because y'all have saved my life and God will reward y'all and I will never! forget y'all and Thank y'all so very much thank y'all ? ? ?

I have tried calling several times for utility assistance and I'm unable to reach anyone and I'm not able to walk in and explain that to anyone therefore I am really disappointed with the ability to seek resources for assistance in the community with St Vincent de Paul

The staff was awesome and very friendly, and they had a awesome little section about pick five things for for free from the very front and you can keep him and they were professional and knew that utility company ins and outs very well

I was given this number as a resource for appliances and household furniture I called today because they are only open Tuesdays and Thursdays and I asked if they still helped with appliances I was told that they will not help with less than one appliance I was never asked what I needed which I'm in need of a refrigerator, I knew electric stove, and maybe an apartment size washer and dryer I was told to call the local second hand appliance store okay if I can afford to call the second hand appliance store I wouldn't be calling you all for handouts in the first place I can't afford a second hand of plants I can't afford a brand new appliance that's why I went for a donated appliance or at least that's what I was trying to do but the lady didn't want to give me the time of day
