My husband was recently in a nearby town, stopped in at a Meijer store, did some shopping. The cashier loaded all of the bags into my husband‘s cart, except for one, which was left behind. This happens, no big deal…. Except that we do not live in this area. I contacted the Meijer store closest to our home and asked if they would be able to provide the items that we paid for. The store agreed, and the manager told me that she would find the items (based on the UPCs provided) and leave them at the CS desk. So nice! When I got to the store, the CS cashier (Belinda) found the items left for me by the manager, but apparently not all of the items I needed were available at the Anderson store (which was the reason I called in the first place, mind you, to avoid making a trip out of my way unnecessarily if our items were not available at the Anderson location). The manager substituted a different package of paper plates, which were a couple of dollars more than the ones we originally paid for. She told me she might do this and waive the difference, since we were inconvenienced in the first place. Belinda, however, didn’t care that we were inconvenienced, and insisted on giving me a different package of plates that was cheaper. She did this even though her manager left the other plates for us at the CS desk… just weird. Like it came out of her personal paycheck.

More costly than Walmart. But its cleaner, stocked, and employees are a bit friendlier and more knowledgeable. Good quality items, great sales, and better discounts with the app.
