On multiple occasions, I have purchased items here or almost purchased items that were expired or rotten. The first few times, i didn't complain or return anything because I didn't want to cause any conflict. But the most recent time, I said enough is enough, I am wasting money here, so I went in with the moldy items that I had just bought, to return. Overall, the employees have not been as friendly as other local stores. For the cost of the items at this store, there are much nicer places to shop!

I have lived in Yorkville for 18 years. This Jewel continues to get worse and worse. No one knows where to find things. And they are rude about it when you ask them for assistance. Not just on one occasion. This is becoming a chronic issue. They don’t want to work there and they don’t want to help you. I can find the same items at Walmart and SuperTarget. Jewel now offers nothing in a competitive advantage to set themselves apart. They will not be around much longer. They will be the next Dominick’s.

Did you know Jewel deli has a sandwich maker? They do and they will make you one sandwich or a sandwich party platter. Great for graduation parties, Sunday funday and all those summer parties. Stop by or call for pricing. Thank you.

I recently purchased something from this Jewel location which had a quality issue. I reported the problem to the centralized customer service department who is often less than helpful, this encounter was similar. I called and spoke with the store Director, Marie, who was quite friendly as well as helpful. Marie turned the negative experience of mine into a positive.

In the past 2 weeks Jewel has stopped stocking non-dairy ice cream. All of the pint size over priced in gone. A couple of months ago we found that Jewel was stocking a non dairy oat based ice cream by Breyers in the normal Breyers area at the same price. That was great for us. Then the pie filling Jewel stocks is twice the price of other area stores.

This particular store is always out of stock on sale items. I have tried going different days and time but doesn’t matter. It’s false advertising. Don’t recommend this Jewel

Selection of items was great, the store was clean and stocked.
Cashier was semi friendly and the bagger was ok.

1. Extremely poor customer service from 2 of the ladies that work the customer service desk in the morning
. 2. Rotten potatoes, tomatoes and habaneros in the produce aisle. 3. I was given the death look from a guy that worked in the meat market for complaining to him about wanting to charge me to slice up some meat I was going to purchase there. 4. Unfriendly and unprofessional self checkout Lady in the morning. 5. Improper posting of pricing and signs for Wednesdays new week of sales.
6. This Jewel in Yorkville, Illinois should be ashamed of them selfs.

It's a good store. Usually stocked well. The lines are not long unless it's a holiday and even then it moves fast.
