If I could give 0/5, I would. I will amend this IF I hear back from H&R. This is the email I have sent to Barb N, my agent and I understand to be the head of Yorkville location w private info retracted. "I have received a notice of non-payment. I have put the pieces together that the amendment was never placed. I had my taxes worked by you on Sun 4/10. You stated the tax forms would not be filed until you checked to see if the $xx,xxx withdrawal which was used for college, could be applied. Stated I would get a call from you on Mon morning 4/11. I never heard from you. I then received an email that afternoon from the IRS saying my taxes have been filed. I immediately called your office and was informed that you would have me come in the next day for an amendment. I came in the next day, Tuesday, and you were not in the office and was told to come back the next day. The following day, Wednesday, I came in and paid the amended amount, check #xxxx $xxxx.xx. I have done my due diligence and went on the IRS website. It appears they were never sent the amended return by you or your office. I am now required to pay $xxxx.xx by June 27. It is now Tuesday, June 14. I received this letter from the IRS on Friday, June 10th and immediately reported to your office, which was closed. Noting your new days/hours, I called the office on Monday, June 13th at 9:29 and spoke to the receptionist for 5 minutes filling her in on this situation. She stated you were on a call and would be calling me back briefly. Again, the call never came. I called that afternoon at 2:26 and no one answered. This experience with your office has been exhausting and unsettling, to say the least. It was a disappointing experience PRIOR to this outstanding issue with the IRS due to mishandling of my taxes. I am seeking a call back ASAP and an appt to get this remedied."

I usually do my own taxes, I had a couple of different things happen last year. A new job out of state and I sold some stocks, I wasn't sure how to handle the taxes. I will be able to do them again next year.

As this being the first office that’s handled my taxes as a young adult and or professional and I wouldn't recommend anyone file their taxes here. Lack of professionalism, knowledge and resourcefulness throughout the years I have filed here. I’m not confident if my taxes quite honestly have ever been filed the right way or with at better interest of their clients at hand.
