I just dropped off two bags with besutiful shoes at the front door. The sign at the door said they are opening at 10 and since there were already 2 bags in front of the door I figured it’s ok to leave my bags there as well. An elderly woman walked out, grabbed the bags and yelled at me not to dump it there. Then she through my bags with shoes inside, like they were trash. This was my first and my last time donating to this store. To get yelled at for donating is outrages. I thought I’d help a local shop, but oh well. Never again.

My friends have shown me amazing finds from Sparrow's Nest. I personally have only looked around twice. It is way too small of a store to shop effectively, and I get claustrophobic. But I love the cause and this is the number one place that my family donates to. I pray one day soon they can have a bigger place but still be here in town.

These prices are out of this world. I legitimately see stuff from dollar tree priced at $5+ at this store! $90 for a set of dishware, and $200 for a rocking chair? Why not buy new at that price.

This resale Thrift Store is a true blessing! This was my first visit as my husband Gerry & I took a few days for a mini vacation. I live in Chicago & many of the good thrift stores closed down years ago. Covid made it worse as well with many businesses closing. What a wonderful surprise to find this great store! There is a half off of certain tags & I found many nice things to add to my closet. I love to shop! This store also has some furniture, house items & had Halloween decorations & items. Also working push carts & room to move around. The employees or volunteers are super nice & friendly. I will go back here as soon as I can. I just wish this store was in my area as well! It is around a hours drive but well worth it for me. A very nice surprise. There is something for everyone here. Also Downtown Woodstock is very nice & so is most of the area. The clothing is in very great shape & not junk like you see in other stores. Very well organized & easy to find what you are searching for.

If you are looking for gently used furniture, household items, kitchen appliances, clothes, & jewelry. This is the BEST THIFT STORE in McHenry County. They have multiple locations across the Northwestern suburbs. Great finds almost all the time!

Again, Im not a woodstock local (about an hour west), but this thrift store went above and beyond (even for a local chicagoan!!). Everything was clean, well put together, displayed nicely, and the overall vibe was just calm. Latonia was incredible, nice, funny and just made me feel happy to be there, has amazing service and staff!! Will definitely be back on my next adventure!!!

I am a BIG thrifter and Sparrow's Nest has quickly become a regular stop-n-shop location for me. Where it lacks in size, it makes up in price and selection (along with quality of the items out on display). In my experience, many of the larger thrift shops put items out without so much as wiping them down with a rag or testing if the item if functional. But the staff here really puts time into keeping the store organized, sanitized and appealing! I have had nothing but great experiences here and love being able to cycle money into an organization dedicated to giving back.

I recently donated roughly 20 very gently used down and insulated winter coat When I dropped them off, the woman who received them was horribly rude to me, in fact she never even said thank you! With so many other resale charity operations in the area, I sincerely doubt that I will go back. I actually feel sorry for them because I only donate really nice stuff.
