Stay away from this place! Donna has no business running a shelter. She is rude, condescending with horrible communication. Jumped through every hoop they asked for and still would not let me adopt. There are so many other wonderful adoption centers-pick one of them. Not this one. So disappointed with this whole experience.

My nephew Carlton came from this shelter. They are thorough with their adoptions and I think that's a really good thing. It's best to have the patience to make sure (as much as you can)that the dogs and cats will go to a good home.

I've adopted 4 cats from Helping Paws since 2020 and have had nothing but a positive experience every time! I've dealt with Donna, Liz, and Mary everytime and have nothing but praise for them and the work they do!!! Please adopt from them and or donate!!!
