“We drive from Lockport to Beard Auto Repair because they are the only mechanics we can trust. After being taken advantage of by every other local auto repair shop, Beard is the best thing to happen to us as vehicle owners. They only fix what needs to be fixed unless you ask them to fix more. You have no idea how great it is to get a call saying no charge because nothing needs repair at this time. “I needed a specific make/model tire to match the other three on the car. Sebastian informed me the did not have the tire in stock, but the warehouse did and they could have it by 2pm. I needed the completed tire to me by 6pm. I said go ahead. The tire arrived at 2, I had it install and in my trunk by 3. We made the deadline, and the price was competitive with others that wanted me to wait 3 business days for the same product. Thanks Sebastian, you did great. The mechanic found a screw, removed it, patched it, and sent me on my way at no charge. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

“Our Transmission was slipping and had become unsafe to drive, we stretched it out as long as we could knowing we might have to throw down 3 - $4000 for a new one. Dropped it off thinking it would be a week before we saw it again. Much to our surprise recieved a call that afternoon that it was finished! And just under $1000!!! I'm sure another shop would have just sold it as a total rebuild or replacement but because these guys are honest committed to their work they see things others will overlook. Thanks guys so much!”

“(I'm quite slow to write this) I had a pre-purchase inspection here and they were fantastic to deal with. They were fair in their pricing, identified issues with the car, helped me understand the 'severity' of the issues, and gave me important information for working with the dealership on what needed to be done. I was impressed with their eye for detail.
All the issues they identified were correct, the prices they quoted were fair, and they helped me contextualize that nothing was a 'deal breaker'. I would 1000% have them inspect any future cars for purchase! If I lived closer, I would be happy to have them be my local shop.”
“Was quoted $800 by another shop to replace two headlight bulbs. Naper Auto Works quoted me about half and when the job was finished it was about a quarter of what they had initially quoted. Most places would just take the money and run however, they showed integrity and only charged what they had to. Excellent service, will be using them for any car issues going forward.”
“When my family lived in Lombard from 1978 to 2017, we went to Supreme Transmission whenever our vehicles needed transmission or clutch work. It has been 15+ years since I was last there for service on one of my vehicles but I am so glad I went back there this past week to have work done on my transmission. The staff may have changed since my last visit to Supreme but the the current staff with Jerry are awesome!!! They are very honest and they do not overprice or oversell to you. Any other place would have easily told me I would need a new or rebuilt transmission but Jerry was very upfront with me and honest and told me all I needed was a new axle for the transmission. They did a great job in repairing my vehicle and were very quick in completing the job!!! I highly recommend Supreme Transmission for any work on transmissions or other minor auto services they provide. Thank you Jerry and the rest of the staff!!! You all are the best!!!!”

“Great, honest same-day service!!! Came in with car that wouldn't start. Others said probably need new starter or alternator. Gary ran a simple diagnostic test for the battery and alternator and said it was simply a battery that needed replacing. Cost $265 plus tax installed. Other unnecessary repairs elsewhere would've cost hundreds if not thousands more. Thanks, Gary! Much appreciated!!!”

“I had a cracked tail housing in my automatic transmission. I brought it in on Wednesday afternoon and work was completed and I picked the vehicle on Thursday afternoon. I also had them do a oil change. I thought the price for the transmission work was reasonable but thought the oil change was a bit pricey. The staff was extremely friendly and I appreciated the fast turnaround on getting my vehicle back. I would recommend this company for any transmission work.”
