Went in with a car that ran fantastic, Left with a broken car.
2016 VW Passat.
They told me they didn't have my oil, then all of a sudden, they did. I let them work on the car and about halfway through they asked me to turn on my engine. After I turned it on, there was a LOUD clacking noise that I have never heard before. I didn't think anything of it because I thought "These guys are professionals and I don't see them concerned".
Finally the oil change is finished and I start my car and there was that loud Clacking again. Nobody says a word. I turn off my engine and ask "Does anyone else hear this?" They said something along the lines of "Hear what?"
I start my car back up to show them and there it is again. At this point I am starting to sweat a little bit.
I turn it off and say "Let me try one more time to just see if it's a fluke"
I start my engine and then it makes no sound and I feel relieved. Then my dash starts going crazy and beeping loud. It says I have lost oil pressure and I need to turn off engine immediately.
I point int out and they proceed to tell me they are not "full service mechanics" and that "I should be safe to drive slow to the shop down the street."
It was not safe to drive. I found out my car's engine was now completely busted. I reach out to them to see what to do next and they point out to me that on my receipt it says that I had engine noise on arrival! The same engine noise that I had to point out to them and didn't hear until halfway through.
They covered their side without even letting me know they put that on the receipt. Now I am getting quoted $6000 to replace my engine and have been without my own vehicle for WEEKS now. Tried to give them grace to sort this out but communication stopped on their side.
I have it on recording of them saying it was safe to drive, but I STRONGLY urge you to record the entire interaction yourself on ANY fast service oil change. ESPECIALLY when you arrive.
I also DO NOT recommend this location.

Used to like this place bc it was close and quick. Recently they broke stuff in my mom’s (NEW) car during an oil change and did not take responsibility. I wouldn’t risk it by returning or recommending this place to others

I travel all over the country. In the last 8 weeks I’ve drove over 10k miles. I’ve had them change my oil from the west coast all the way to the east coast. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience with them. They are always pleasant and nice. I’ve actually had my oil changed at this locations 3 time over the last year and this group is great. It’s always quick and easy. This location always has a professional staff and I’ve never had them try to up-sale me on anything. I now have my wife using them back in Texas because of the ease getting her oil changed. No need to ever exit your vehicle and if you do end up waiting in line it still is way faster than any other oil change place I’ve ever been too. I highly recommend using Take 5 oil change at pretty much any of the locations across the country.

Went in for oil change - service guys were fast, courteous, helpful, & seemingly competent.

Fast reliable and convenient. Only thing is that you will pay more for the oil change depended upon the type car, so don’t go thinking you’ll pay below market from any other ‘average oil change’ cost because that’s how they make it seem/make it appear. Really no different in price from other places.
Only bonus is that you get to come and top off your oil during your oil change period so long as you do so before you reach your max number of miles as listed on the sticker.

Great mechanics at the location however the plate on the bottom of my car that hides the oil came off on the way home and went flying down the highway. When I tried calling I kept going to voicemail. 2 stars

Great experience. The manager, Fernando, was as nice as can be. He greeted me with a cold bottled water. Nice perk! I had a short wait. They were fast, professional, and courteous. Ben helped out and was extremely polite. They did not push me to buy extras and there was no issues using my coupon. No complaints - 5 stars!
