“I can't say enough good things about Sphinx Computer. Ahmed and Dorothy are highly knowledgeable and go above and beyond to provide their customers with superb service. I've experienced this on three separate occasions, and each time I've been extremely pleased. One example: Several months ago, I asked Ahmed to help me change from home WiFi to wired connections, in order to reduce my EMF exposure. He came out and spent about an hour inspecting my home and brainstorming solutions with me. We finally came up with a surprisingly simple system, which Ahmed set up with equipment from his store, at no extra cost. In the process, he diagnosed a computer problem that I reported and worked on it until it was solved. The total cost was very reasonable for all the work he did. To this day, my wired connections are working beautifully, and my computer is fast and smooth. It's good to know that in my neighborhood is such a friendly, reliable, and skilled team. “I have used Scott several times. My first experience with Scott involved a Charmille 440 CC wire EDM machine. Scott went through several boards that the manufacturer suggested could be failing. After examining the components of these boards he determined they were in working order. Turned out to be a door switch.Scott recently did an amazing job repairing the generator boards on my AgieCharmilles P550. Incredibly the machine would still run, but at significantly reduced speed. He replaced several components and now the machine is running as good as new. These are very complex boards. I would recommend Scott to anyone who has electronics issues with their equipment. If it’s not broke he tells you. If it is he is the guy you want fixing it.”
“Thank you, Cheryl!! Cheryl is a tech genius with printers. I had checked with a warranty program and explained the problem that I was having with my fairly new Epson ET-5800. Their answer was for me to box up this gigantic printer and ship it to them. No Way!! So, I contacted another very reputable computer/printer repair company and explained the problem to them. They assumed a technician needed to come to my home to fix the printer. FINALLY, I CALLED CHERYL after locating her thru Google search. I read the reviews and called and spoke to Cheryl and repeated what was happening with my printer.. This phenomenal tech savvy lady told me what the problem was in less than 5 minutes and told me how to resolve it. It was so simple that I almost didn't believe Cheryl. And, then she explained how the printer reads paper as it's creating the image when it goes thru the feeder. I was convinced that she knew her stuff!! It took me 2 minute to resolve my printer problem by following Cheryl's instructions. I told Cheryl that she will be blessed because she could have told me to bring my printer to her and charged me but she did not. Cheryl is the BEST!! I wish I could giver her a 10 Star rating.”

“I have a Hammond A100 organ with two Leslie speakers. Mike was able to evaluate the Hammond power amp, and the two Leslie speakers. The organ amp had been previously modified. One of the Leslie speakers was a 122 (original to the Organ) and used B+ voltage to switch speed. The other Leslie was a 145 (and much smaller than the 122. I used a preamp/speed switch pedal to operate the 145, for Combo organ use. To make a long story shorter, Mike was able to alter the the pedal to control the 122 Leslie as well as the 145 Leslie which was retired to use B+ speed switch voltage. That allowed me to use both Leslie's with the A100 as well as with the use of the pedal a Hammond portable, i,e., Xk3c etc. Amazing knowledge here on 60 year old equipment, for maybe 200-300 bucks. Also had a couple of Fender Guitar Amps checked out a set to spec values and general maintenance. Well done and nice having a report on the maintenance when it comes to a sale. Next project will be the evaluation of a Pioneer 1250 Receiver circa mid 1970's. has not been turned on in 40 years. I expect that based on its design, monster Capacitors for energy storage that this may also be restored for a fair price.”
