“It was serious. I had a critical & time sensitive night time acoustical ceiling install for a medical clinic at the Amita hospital in La Grange where we were working 2 shifts M-F and one shift on Sat & Sun. We had no room for error and we ordered from Westmont's top salesman Rob who assured us that our large delivery would hit our docks at 3pm today. @4:15pm my installed is blowing up my phone that he has guys standing around and no material! I quickly call Rob who runs out to his docks and sees our skids of material still sitting there. The trucks stop running @ 4:30 and it's 4:15. They are in Westmont. We are in La Grange. We have no trucks within 2 hours. Their trucks are done for the day. I feel sick when he tells me this and I tell him we HAVE TO keep on schedule for this hospital project, and you know what Rob did? This man, by himself, took 1/2 my order into his personal vehicle and drove it 25 min one way, in rush hour traffic, to the hospital and then drove back another 25 min back to his docks, and then 25 min back the hospital with my 2/2 of my order, and the best part was I never asked Rob to do this. He did this himself while I was scrambling to find my nearest truck.
