“After taking my car to two other shops including the dealership for a diagnosis and no solid answers I was referred to Eddie at Trans-Fixed. Eddie took my car for a test drive and was able to hear the noise the other shops couldn't identify. He had an idea of the issue but couldn't confirm until he got it in the air. The shop was busy and he didn't have any open bays so he asked I call back later in the week. Once in the air he was able to determine it wasn't the transmission or transfer case as suspected. Eddie was honest with me on the repair needed and when to get it done. He did all of this work for no charge. He was friendly, funny, and trustworthy. I will definitely be keeping him in mind for any future transmission repairs.”

But I didn’t want to try to figure that out in 20 degree weather. They charged very little and didn’t take advantage where shadier businesses could have. We’ve had great service with them. The shop was able to locate a very strong lead on what could be wrong with my transmission, and they were able to provide exact numbers.The service was extraordinary. “My husband's '13 Suburban has been our "go to" car for all sorts of adventures! We've taken it on all the road trips, most recently to South Dakota to Colorado and back. He got his moneys worth on the car, but we weren't ready to say "buy" (pun intended) when the transmission started to slip and drive weird. In comes Trans-O-Matic to save our fun bus! Dominic was a great guy. He was upfront and professional about the process and estimated pricing. We dropped off the car so they could have enough time to evaluate it and get a rough quote to us. Being that a new (or used) car would cost far more than a transmission rebuild or new transmission, we opted for Trans-O-Matic to work their trans-o-magic. Dominic gave us a quote on the repair time and he was really good with it! It took a couple of extra days to flush the trans clean, which we greatly appreciate! There was good communication and Dominic was transparent throughout the repair. The pricing was very fair! The car was nice and clean at pick up! “I took my 2007 Chevy Suburban here due to low oil pressure problems I had, I was constantly losing oil due to a rear main seal leak, I also had a rough idle, and my car would shake when not in motion due to lifters, springs, and other engine parts being old, corroded, and damaged. “Dan is a great mechanic, one of the best I've ever encountered. He did my new tires quick and affordable. Just recently my mom had him inspect her car after a franchise mechanic shop inspected it. She wanted too see if his prices and problems founds were the same as the franchise mechanic due too that shop pulling shady things. He inspected it and found the same issues but the prices for repairs were almost half the cost of the franchise shop. Nice to see a mechanic who doesn't charge 3x the amount of hours for repairs.”

“These guys are awesome!! We were in the area for a hockey tournament from Erie PA and had a really bad brake issue. Even though they didn't have any openings they squeezed us in! We called them on a Friday night at 4:30... and they had our car done by 9:45 Saturday morning! Incredibly nice staff (JR.) And owner. I wish this shop was in Erie so we could use them all the time.
