I was heartbroken I had to send my baby girl Alley to heaven. St. Francis Pet Foundation made this transition easy for me . They were very compassionate and cost friendly as I am a disabled senior. They even sent me a condolences card a couple days later. Thank God for the St. Francis Pet Foundation.

NEVER GO HERE. Last year my dog was terribly sick and we had to say goodbye after over 10 years of having him. The vet just said they would call when the ashes returned. A month later I go to pick them up and my dog was in a tin can. Yes, A TIN CAN. And just his first name, Snoopy, was on the label, no last name. Snoopy is a common dog name, how do I know that's him? I did some research and St. Francis had lawsuits for mixing up ashes, I felt so sick. I shopped around and my cousin recommended another pet crematory. I went there and bought a REAL urn, they offered to place my pet in the new urn for me. I'm still so upset that this happened, but shame on me for trusting my vet and letting them have my dog go to these people. DO NOT GO HERE, SHOP AROUND, FIND SOMEPLACE THAT DOESNT HAVE LAWSUITS

Very professional and compassionate. They offered different options for our needs. They even delivered our pet's ashes promptly. Prices were very reasonable.

Thank you for taking care of my Bella today. I've never had an animal pass at home, very traumatic. You made it so much easier to accept. I will never go anywhere else. ?

I have used St. Francis on 3 occasions - Everyone I met or spoke to there is very nice, and two went as planned. Though I've been meaning to call them to suggest they call and confirm each cremation if your not present- (my mom found it so sad so after the first in person cremation we didn't go to two others, though now I'd say book an in person service to ensure your pet is cremated alone if this is what you want) anyway, I've yet found myself up late at night looking up something else pet related and just wanted to give people a heads up to really make sure they have everything set up properly. After my last cat passed away - and this was a nightmare I had that follows- I was there in the ER when he naturally stopped breathing after going into a coma- and a few days later the nightmare was that he was going to be burned alive- maybe my cat was getting my attention- he had somehow been marked down for cremation with other pets- which is not what we wanted at all- and not something that can be corrected. Thank God I called to see what was going on with that dream. It's not something I would have thought one would need to confirm- pet cremation isn't an every day event.... That something you really need to get right! but I will say the people I spoke to and met were very nice and compassionate. I personally rather be there even if it is sad- it's your friend.. The other cremation we were not there for went ok, but I would just say both parties should call to confirm such an important event!

My vet pushed St Francis on me when one of my herd passed away. It was an adequate experience, receiving an entirely too large (and expensive) wooden box with my pets remains inside. If your vet insists on choosing this place for you, shop around a bit. I assure you there's better options for your lost pet.

My vet used St Francis for the cremation services after my parrot died. I could not be more happy. The urn is beyond beautiful and the extra steps they took to make it extra special is amazing. Everything from the certificate down to the St Frances charm.

Had used St. Francis for 2 of my other pets who had passed away several years ago. Today we had to say goodbye to our lovely little Cocker Spaniel. When I called Saint Francis this morning, I got the same girl on the phone from previous calls, who had ZERO customer service skills. When I was questioning the prices for a private cremation with no viewing that was listed on their website, she was beyond vague with her responses and the list of prices on their website kept getting jacked up with additional fees she was quoting. I said nowhere in the website does it state any of these additional charges... and..~crickets~... no response from the receptionist. Absolutely no sympathy in her voice and at times didn't speak at all until I said "are you still there?" Long story short, we did end up having to put our little girl to sleep today but we ended up going with another crematorium where we were treated with the utmost respect and compassion. And saved over $100.. with better service. I probably would have gone with Saint Francis once again however their receptionist ruined it. Not once did she acknowledge my pain. It was as if I were talking to a robot. Very obvious that they are just in it for the money. Sad that I chose them for my last two pets. Thank God for social media where I was able to find a much better company. Advise to St. Francis crematorium... hire someone else to answer your phones. You lost a big sale today... and I will make sure to pass my experience along to others.

I paid $105. Extra to have another pet cemetery come pick up my pet and handle her remains and am considering the free service they offer where I watch my pet be creamated due to this You do not have to use at Francis because your vet does

Our Vet, Cat Hospital of Chicago provided us with St Francis Group resources as we said goodbye to our beloved Claude. The St Francis Group communications and service through this process were exceptional. I really had no expectations that this group could offer such comfort even weeks after our pet's cremation. Ashes were brought to our door on the day that was acknowledged by a very thoughtful messenger and then several weeks later an unexpected donation was recently acknowledged by the UofI College of Veterinary Medicine in name of Claude from The St Francis Group. I realize there are many levels of service that can be purchased from The St Francis Group, but i must disclose that we never expected such compassionate service for the level we selected. This is a wonderful institution that sets service levels truly above expectation. Sincere 'Thanks' to the St Francis Group.

We've taken two of our beloved deceased cats to St. Francis. They've been wonderful throughout the entire process both times. They have a small "chapel" area where you can take pictures and say your final goodbyes. One of the workers helped us to take a group photo there. Always attentive and sensitive. It's one business that I don't look forward going back to again. But with two more cats, we will be. Hopefully, not too soon.
