“This is, quite simply, the best USPS location ever. In this era, so many USPS locations, particularly in denser parts of major cities, range from incompetent to straight up illegal levels of service. My home locations in Ravenswood and Audobon (Manhattan) were both this way. The two main front desk guys here, however, have worked there forever and are both pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Even the 3-4 other people who sometimes man the front are excellent. have never had a bad experience with the Itasca Post Office. These guys should get raises :)”

He always suggest ways to ship for less and always has a smile on his face. I asked about holiday stamps and he went out of his way to find some for me. “This is truly the USPS I’ve ever been to. I had trouble getting my fingerprints but both ladies there had so much patience with me and really tried everything what they can do to help me out for literally an hour and a half. And I eventually was able to get record from FBI within the day, thanks to the two best employees in this location. I can’t say enough how thankful I am for their persistence and service-mindedness. Thank you so much again!! You guys are the best!!”

“I have bern living in Bellwood for 20years. I feel that the regular postal employees do an excellent job. They are friendly and know the neighborhood customers by face. Yes, there have been an occasional mishaps, but we are all human. I appreciate the job they do.”

On the negative side, only two employees were working in the front, and I stood in line for about 10 minutes before receiving help. In comparison to other USPS locations, I would say this staff was more polite and helpful, and the wait time was about average.”

I'm not sure why the post office doesn't hire more people like Tara. She was very helpful and assisted me with my shipment. I didn't think they would but Walgreens did!Great advice! “I had by far the best experience here today! I wish I knew the person behind the counters name so that I could personally shout her out here. I walked in around 2:00 pm today and right away I received a phone call. I stepped out of line to take my call, and watched as the line grew longer and the place get pretty busy as a result of the holiday. I also noticed how professional the worker behind the counter was. Although busy, she was calm and relaxed, patient and helpful to every customer and still worked quickly and efficiently. When I finally went into the line, it moved quick, and when I got there I had questions. She was helpful, kind and efficient. I never felt like I was being rushed, even though there were people behind me and when I asked my questions, she was more than helpful. A great person to have as the face of the branch! Employees everywhere could learn from her.”

Nice variety of stamps available plus reliable service. Got solid advice from helpful staff recently on mail security and potential check fraud and unusual mail delays. Ideal place at slow times to get answers and informed answers at on USPS certified mail and tracking packages or letters.Front and side entrance are OK. Now-gone parking in back was a huge plus, though.”

“I had a problem with a delivery and called the post office and they did an exceptional job of getting involved and located with a distant neighbor who was not helpful until the post office explained it was a crime to keep the package. I have used this post office frequently and they are always nice and responsive. I have spoken to the supervisor about their great attitude and helpfulness.”
