She provided helpful information about everything a dog owner would like or need to know. Dr Moritz is outstanding. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.”

“The most friendly place you could ask for! LGBTQ-FRIENDLY!!! So sweet and caring for your pets. They don't make you spend thousands of dollars so your pet can get help. I brought my cat to the emergency room and they wouldn't give him any antibiotics after getting a really bad infection and having a temperature of 106. Shannon eliminate the problem immediately and gave him the correct medication to drop his temperature immediately. It just really makes me sad that so many of these places are only there to collect your money and can care less about your pets ? not this place you can rest assured that Shannon and her helpers are there to help and give you the respect that you would want. Not treat you like a numbers book. I can't thank Shannon enough for the amount of things that she's done for Milo! She has helped Milo out twice now in desperate need of help. She has made my baby feel great and is getting back on his paws. You can definitely rest assure Shannon will do anything in her power to help your animal correctly. “My cat became really sick right before Christmas Eve I called the office knowing they would be closed since it's Christmas Eve but I hope they get the voicemail right away when they did open . I got a call later that day on Christmas Eve and Dr rehberg went to the clinic on his holiday and his day off to give me an antibiotic for my cat .free of charge”

“I have been going to Lakeland Animal Hospital for years! The staff is ALWAYS friendly! The veterinarian's are all conscientious and compassionate when it comes to my dogs. Unlike other places I have gone to they do not push to do anyting I'm financially not comfortable with.
I can't speak highly enough for Lakeland Animal Hospital!
UPDATE: I posted my original review 4 years ago and I would post the same review today (5/7/2024). My golden retriever mix had an enlarged heart. Under Dr Dunn's care he lived to be 14 1/2. I had to put him down in November and my other dog in February. Both dogs needed Immediate Care at the end. Instead of sending me to emergency, where they would have had to be put down in a strange place.... Dr Dunn squeezed them in so I could put them down at peace where they were comfortable with Dr Dunn and his wonderful staff.”

“We had to make the painful decision to euthanize our beloved cat Buddy, a part of our family for 16 years on 8/24/2024. The staff at McHenry Pet Hospital were all great! They made it as comfortable as possible for Buddy and our family. Explained how the process would work, assured us that Buddy would go peacefully and feel no pain. Reassured us that we were making the right decision. Told us to take as much time as we needed with Buddy to say our final goodbyes. That definitely helped, given the situation of having to let Buddy go.? Thank you to the staff that was there that day from the bottom of our ❤️. We recommend anyone who has to have any kind of care for their pet, to take them to McHenry Pet Hospital.”
“Dr. Carlson is hands down the best veterinarian I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve encountered quite a few. Years ago, I saw Dr. Carlson treat my parents dogs and elderly cat into their twilight years and the compassion and love he has for our animal family members is unmatched. We firmly believe his recommendation of acupuncture treatment for their elderly Weimaraner gave her another 2 years of life after we all thought she had lost mobility in her back legs. I went to another vet for a few years (because they were closer to me) until they recommended expensive and side effect-inducing medications for my 15 year old Weimaraner. I had my doubts so I called Riverside for a second opinion. He reviewed her test results, health records, and examined her thoroughly and agreed that she needed none of that. Dr. Carlson put her on a much more gentle holistic regimen that allowed her to live comfortably the rest of her days. And when it was her time to go, at almost 16, he lovingly stroked her and held her paw the whole time while my husband and I said our goodbyes. The compassion is unmatched. Now I take all my pets to Riverside. Thank you to Dr. Carlson and his amazing team for always giving my pets the best treatment possible.”

“Its decent. Staff was not as friendly as I hoped upon my arrival, but the doctor was pretty amazing. I love how she interacted with my cats. The exam seemed sound, but one of my little boys ended up getting sick the next. I assume it was from the rabbies shot that he received. When I called they were very helpful in the reconnendation that I received, although they wanted for me to bring him back. Bringing him back after a very recent visit was not a good choice for me, as we all know how stressful it is for the cat and the cat parent in getting a cat to the vet. He's ok now though, so overall, I'm happy.”
“First time owning my own cat and taking him to the vet for shots, worming, and nueter. All the staff was so friendly and helpful and they went out of their way to make sure he had all the meds he needed, and calling to check on him a few days after and scheduling re checks to make sure everything was healing right. Dr Hoag is wonderful”
