“All post office employees should take lessons from the staff at this location. They are knowledgeable, patient, efficient, and genuinely friendly. They aren’t satisfied until their customers are. I actually look forward to going to this - emphasis on this - post office.”

2001A Waukegan Rd, Techny“Best Post office anywhere. It’s the hidden gem of the Northshore. Lines are minimal or next to nothing, service is top notch. Clerks and Post Master there are polite, have manners and treat you like a human unlike the rest of the post offices around!! Anyone else that reviews this place and gives a bad review is most likely a hater. I saw someone post that this office randomly closes. That’s a total like! Especially at the times he posted it closed. I’m a frequent customer as in everyday bc my company sends me there everyday without fail at around 3:45 to process certifieds and this office clearly states it’s operating times and definitely is open and up and running EVERYDAY minus Saturdays past 3:50pm! The office does close M-F from 1pm-2-pm for lunch but for folks that know how to read signs they would see that clearly outside!! And the sign they put up inside at the entrance of the second door. DUHHHHH…”
“While headed to the Green Bay Trail for a run, I found this United States Postal Service (Glencoe Post Office) to be the closest near the trail while enroute. At the time, I had an eBay shipment that needed to be shipped out. I took a liking to its cute building which sat in a classy looking area nearby Glencoe Village Hall right in the heart of Glencoe! Via Village Ct, I was able to veer quickly into a parking spot rather than entering off of Hazel Ave. Along with its cute building exterior, the inside environment gave off a very positive vibe rather than a negative one. As I waited to be seen, I adored the postal clerks' interaction with a customer ahead of me, who had a young daughter. The interaction appeared so genuine which put a smile on my face immediately while in line and as I moved towards the counter to be helped. As someone who visits post offices regularly whether it be for Poshmark or eBay shipments, the postal clerk presented one of the friendliest vibes I have ever encountered at any post office location. After giving the clerk my package, he questioned me if it had anything liquid or hazardous inside then explained to me the shipment options for my package which I always choose the cheapest, hehe. As a Poshmark Ambassador on Poshmark, and someone with a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay as long as the package gets to my buyer I am always satisfied. I was on my way in minutes. I am terrible at doing the surveys pertaining to my visits at post offices, but best believe I always share some sort of a review. Being that I had a great experience, I would gladly utilize this United States Postal Service (Glencoe Post Office) again when in the area. ~ Embrace the journey. ~Thomas G”
“USPS provides amazing value. I needed to send some envelops with two to three day delivery. UPS was going to charged my wife twice what USPS would charge, and when I needed to return the signed versions UPS was three times at much $92 UPS vs $35 for USPS - and delivered a day earlier! I rarely see these kinds of savings but here is one - use it!”
“Excellent service. Didn’t get her name but African American woman with great smile had excellent customer service. Assisted me with passport details. They do not take pictures as they are a one person service stop, but she checked that I had everything I needed to expedite quickly.”
“I love this post office! I don't live in Highwood but I go to this location as you get a small-town feel, the clerks are friendly, funny, helpful and efficient.”

833 Central Ave, Highland Park“I had a postal money order for about $700 that could not be used for the purpose intended so I needed to have the money refunded. Lisa at the Highland Park Post Office is my hero. She took my phone number and called when they had enough cash on hand to make the refund. It took quite a few months because they rarely have that much cash but she faithfully kept my number. THANK YOU, LISA! Other post offices misinformed me. They told me I had to get the refund at a bank, which is not true. Lisa was right and went above and beyond the call of duty to help.”
“Service can be slow, but there is one worker here I'd like to commend! He's a tall guy who's helped me twice with shipping packages and was very patient, especially since I was super unfamiliar with the process. I appreciate his friendliness in an environment where customers & employees alike tend to be on-edge or standoffish.”

1787 Orchard Ln, Northfield“I see a lot of bad reviews but I've been here probably about 10 times and generally don't really have any issues. And definitely not any issues that would not happen at any other post office I've been to. Yeah the workers might not have a fake customer service Smile on 24/7 but don't really expect it, they help with the transaction and then we're done”
“There is a new young woman working at this location who is absolutely a pleasure to deal with. Also this location during the weekday is almost always not busy, no waiting. I think it will get busier though as people realize there are new personnel working here.”

6977 W Oakton St, Niles“Always friendly. Way better than the Morton Grove Location, A women at the desk notified me I was using the wrong shipping box so I would get charged later. Thank you to her for letting me know.”
“This post office is my favorite, as long as you go through the week. If you go on saturday you will have opposite experience. The lady that works on the weekend does anything she can to do as little as possible. Through the week the employees are so nice and make sure to put the tracking, shipping labels and or postage on my packages themselves ensuring it is done right, weekend lady makes you figure it out and then gets rude when it isnt how she says its supposed to be and says cant be sent that way. I even watched her make a woman black out and rewrite the address because it was "upside down" as if they keep your packages neatly stacked and dont just throw them around. Im pretty sure on that rare occasion they need to turn or flip a box to read address ?? will never visit on a saturday again if i can avoid it.”
“This post office is the best one in the area! Very efficient and warm employees. I don’t know her name, but the older black woman always meets me with a smile. This place is much better than Gunnison!!!!”
“I went to this location about half an hour before closing on a Friday (I know ... it was the earliest I could get there) in order to send a package of documents internationally. I had reviewed the options online, but still wasn't sure what the best shipping option would be. The USPS worker who helped me was patient with my questions and informative in her explanation of the options; she explained clearly the delivery timelines for different methods and which offered signature on delivery (which I needed). I stepped aside to complete the necessary forms; because of the time of day, of course, several people passed through while I was there, and she was able to help everyone get through the line before closing. (There was one woman who came in and did try to skip the whole line and went straight to the counter while there was a customer being assisted, and the USPS worker -- rightly! -- told her she'd need to get in line like everyone else.) Post offices get a bad rap for service, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location for help with any shipping in the future.”
“Everyone is always very friendly at this location. Always willing to help people, only downside is not enough employees, however the two employees at the counter work very fast and keep the line moving.”
“Went to send a package from here and it was phenomenal that it got delivered earlier than expected. The lady working there was really nice (loved her hair) and was able to help with what I needed.
The only negative thing here is that they really need more than one person working at the office. Services are slow because of this.”
“Everytime I come here, everyone is so nice and helpful. Packages always deliver and on time. Never any issues with this post office. John is always nice and helpful.”
“The two last workers who closed today, 4/5 between 6pm-6:15pm >> great example of superb customer service. Line was long and sure, I waited a bit, but ultimately it dragged because the customers needed x,y,z. etc. I was very appreciative of how my interaction went with the lady at the window. Definitely deserves recognition because there are not many people like you out there! Thanks for being awesome.”
“500 stars for Mark n team.
Awesome experience with Mark today. The way he helped me n was helping others while I was waiting was outstanding. USPS is lucky to have such a dedicated employee.
Thanks, Mark, for the wonderful experience. You are the best.”
“I usually have an unpleasant experience at the post office. I live near downtown so I was in this neighborhood & went to the post office & can easily say I’ll be coming back here.I was lucky enough to have Debra take care of me to send out my package & she was wonderful! Super helpful & sweet! Need more employees like her!:)”
“Superior customer service. I had a packaged mailed to myself---at an address different than my home address---tracked the package & noticed the package was listed as "in-person pick up". Called before I dropped by to insure no further issues besides presenting my drivers license (or any current government issued ID) was necessary. A nice lady named Ms. Davis said my current drivers license with my tracking confirmation number would work. I showed up an hour later. I mentioned, to the desk customer service person, to please tell Ms. Davis I had arrived. The desk customer rep returned a few minutes later, with my package. The polite customer service rep requested my signature & to look at my current driver license. 10 minutes later, I was walking out the door, with package in hand”
“Had a good experience knowing that other locations are usually so bad, the employee was very pleasant and you can tell that he was new. My wait time was okay, the only thing that made me upset is a customer who was behind me who took my place and went to the counter pretending she didn’t see me, she probably felt entitled because she is a regular customer there.”
“I had a great experience recently at the Morton Grove Post Office (June 2024). In order to officially change my mail forwarding address due to a move, I needed to go into the Post Office to confirm my identity, old mailing address, and new mailing address. Al at the front desk was great. He explained the process thoroughly and what I needed to complete it. He was also EXTREMELY patient when I was attempting to shuffle though my email looking for my leases and an email from USPS that I needed. I really appreciate how helpful and calm he was during the whole process and it was very seamless. Thanks Al!!!”
“This might be the first positive review I've ever written about the postal service... I make and sell soaps, and have to mail out orders every once in a while. When I was living in Evanston, I dreaded it, because the woman that worked at the office nearest me was the rudest, unhelpful person I've met. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this office - the staff was on top of things and friendly. The store was very clean and organized, no papers or envelopes all over the floor like in Evanston. For a USPS, this one was as close to "top of the line" as you can get.”
“People love picking on the post office but I love my post office at 1723 W Devon in Rogers Park. The staff there work crazy hours and are dealing with one of the most diverse populations in the country in a challenging neighborhood and they maintain their professionalism and efficiency.I brought a huge stack of boxes in to mail yesterday and Jimmy was the staff member who helped me. He was calm, helpful, patient when I was unsure about an address and stayed cheerful even though he was tired and it was nearing the end of his day. Everyone there is seasoned, knowledgable and if you are nice to them? You will get kindness and help back! Everything I have mailed there has gotten to the destination quickly and without flaw.I am hugely grateful and wanted to make a shout out to Jimmy in particular but the women who were working with him yesterday (sorry, don't know names) were chatty and helpful to everyone that came in.Thanks, Devon!”
“I had a really weird and specific issue with my apartment mailbox, and a supervisor came out and helped me figure it out. I’m so thankful and they were so kind. The issue was entirely my fault and they could have easily told me no, so the fact that they went out of their way to help is amazing.”
“One of the staff stayed out during the start of her lunch break to help me cancel a package I had dropped in the drop box earlier that day. She had no obligation to help me but chose to anyways, incredibly incredibly nice and made my day.”
