Visited the salon to get my hair done for my wedding rehearsal dinner. Appointment at 1pm, Rehearsal at 4pm. Asked for Hollywood Curls (not a complicated request and a style that I’ve had without issue before). The stylist kept telling me that my hair was too silky (not in a good way) and that I had split ends (cool, thanks). After 55 minutes in the chair, she took out the curls and they fell COMPLETELY flat. At that moment, she said, “I can’t do this.” And I responded, “Will you be able to do this or no because my Rehearsal is at 4pm and if you can’t do this, I need to go back to the hotel, shower, dry my hair, and style it myself.” And she replied, “Go. Go now.” And she sent me on my way and said not to pay. I would say not paying was a given since she didn’t do anything but waste my time (55 min chair time plus 20 min commuting time each way = 1 hour 35 min total). I got back to my hotel in Evanston and had to shower and wash my hair due to all the hair spray and texturizing spray she put in it. Then I curled my hair myself without issue and the curls stayed all night - even without hair spray since I didn’t have it on me since I wasn’t planning to do my own hair. Not sure why she was unable to do my hair. I always do curls down and they stay very well. I am also not sure why she didn’t offer me an alternative, another stylist to help, or even to wash my hair and blow it out to save me time. She just quit and sent me on my way and I ended up being 25 min late to my Rehearsal and it was unnecessary stress for like 3 hours in the chair and then rushing to get ready in time. Would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I go to Paul Rehder specifically for Kelly (stylist) and Dawn ( colorist) These women are AMAZING at making my hair gorgeous! Kelly's haircuts are perfection. They last so long. I probably only need to come every 4 months but go more often because Kelly is lovely! Dawn always knows how to give my color what it needs. Color can be tricky especially with highlights. But she always nails it. Plus she warm and funny.

Such a hidden gem in the city. Everyone is super friendly. We get weirdly excited to go. We always see Robert Parrish. Fantastic for both men and women. My boyfriend and I refuse to go anywhere else!

Clean salon, friendly customer service, fantastic haircut! The front desk was very competent and my stylist, Gabriella, listened to all of my requests and gave me a haircut I truly love. We had a great conversation and had a lot of fun too! I will definitely be back!Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Wonderful salon. Cameron was awesome with color, she did exactly whag I wanted and took her time to get it right! Ashley did awesome on the cut, she was fast and fabulous.The staff was all friendly and welcoming. The salon is beautiful and the coffee while waiting is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

Priscilla, my colorist is extraordinary at her craft. Additionally she is highly efficient. Ji my stylist is phenomenal. Together they are the dream team. The support staff are well trained and generally do a superb job. The downside is that salon services are astronomical.Services: Shampoo & conditioning
