In any city, village,or town, you can throw a rock blindfolded in any direction and hit mechanic garage! I should know after breaking a few windows and paying heavily for medicore services. Then I opened my eyed and remembered Shawnee Garage. A multi generational garage that has been serving the community with exceptional services that doesn't require you to get a 2nd mortgage to afford them. The consultation explains what you need and have your best interest in guiding your decision. With integrity as their foundation you will not be disappointed.

I am stationed overseas and my daughter is alone in Chicago. I read the good reviews about Shawnee and sent my daughter there to service her car, hoping it would be a decent shop we could trust. They recommended about $7k in additional work to her car, which is only worth about $10k. We got a second opinion from another shop and 2/3s of the repairs Shawnee recommended were bogus (for example, rear brakes needing to be replaced when they have 60% of wear remaining). Also, the parts in the quote were heavily inflated, in some cases more than 200% over what I found online for OEM parts. I'm disappointed that they would try to take advantage of my daughter like that. I would never, ever go here or recommend this place to anyone.

Will always go to Shawnee when our cars need help! Our old Volvo is still running and needs to be safe for our son through his college years. We've had some flickering of "check engine" light and George, Phil and his group looked it over and was able to give us the reassurance we needed to keep it on the road. Thank you Shawnee!

As usual excellent service, though a relatively simple job-mounting tire on a new wheel and reinstalling it. The old one was cracked (damned potholes). Phil was a great in helping me order a new wheel.
