340 Linden Ave, WilmetteI had worked at this groomin salon and let me tell you Karen and Dannie (the groomers really know how to handle dogs and its the only salon I had worked at as an assistant where they stop and give the dogs a break if they show any signs of stress...they use high quality products for cleansing and shampooing dogs..( from a previous comment. Dawn is only used when there are really oily ..dirty dogs ..and it is used on only specific parts of the body..like the butt..mixed in with a high quality shampoo...I have read about her prices being high but they do an amazing .skilled groom..and the rent has gone up along with the price of the products..I haven't worked there in a year but u get every penny worth of a great groom in the hands of caring people ...rest assured your pup is in good hands..Chris who has been there for several years does an amazing job as an assistant to the owner and maintains a very clean sanitary place..I'd give it 10 stars if I could..one more comment on why prices may have gone up is she pays a living wage y to her employees..she pays a higher wage then most places..therefore she has several staff that choose to stay with her

We reached out to Sophie & she offered some advice even before our first session. In our first session she had our puppy under control in under five minutes! We included our entire family in all the sessions. We all listened to Sophie’s training advice and reasoning behind it. It was a very lovely experience and we are forever grateful to Sophie for helping us. ??

The Village Dog

My 4-legged nephew's mommy swears by The Village Dog and when I am in town sitting him, I see how much he has enjoyed his day with his schoolmates! The first time taking my doggie nephew to daycare, we stopped for a light on Green Bay Road and turning to check on him in the back seat, he was standing up and smiling, tongue out and wagging his tail as he apparently recognized where we were and where we were going! :) Nephew's mommy reported a great first experience with boarding a couple of weeks ago, when I was unable to fly to Chicago for a few days to sit. During drop-offs or pick-ups, other pet parents tell us of how pleased they are to have Julie in charge of their cherished dogs. Fantastic job, Julie! :) P.S.: A look at Google Maps will show that The Village Dog is in the middle of commercial properties and a Lutheran Church on three sides, and the public library across the street. I once lived on the SE corner of Park & Wilmette (545), and it would be really hard to hear anything from The Village Dog in that location!

I love that they close for two days before Christmas just to decorate — I wish they did this for every holiday, because it truly makes the place feel special and puts you right into the holiday spirit. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be back!
