This stellar team of pharmacists and staff never fails to amaze me. They make sure to explain new prescriptions, are caring and efficient… a true gem to the community.

This pharmacy is a hidden gem. Great service the same staff have been there for years and none of the crazy long wait times.

This store is horribly managed. I wait in line for checkout way longer than it took to shop for a large family. There are never any bagers and the cashiers are trying to hurry you up to pay while you are bagging your own groceries. The seem to have a large staff restocking but oddly they are always out of items. Oh and don't buy your milk There, on several occasions I purchased milk their and got home and it was spoiled way before the date. Get it together.

This is a typical suburban Jewel Store.

this jewel osco in particular certain managers control the front end cashiers by only having one cashier on the register and the other on r doing overstock while the store is very busy. her name is Julia M. she doesn't di this to any otheremployee except me and that's very wrong it should be reported to higher management then the store manager. she also tells other employees to get the 21. called because she's too busy invghd office doing nothing that should be reported as well.

Closest store to my home & I still can't find a good reason to shop here.Today I was confronted by an employee walking by when I said "You know your mask isn't really on". It was sitting between her nose and mouth and not covering either. She then walked directly up to me and lifted the mask up and down in a taunting manner.Waiting to explain this to a manager a woman in a motorized chair hit a stack of boxes stock guy left in front of the service desk. The manager couldn't understand why I mentioned this is the most chaotic store I've shopped at.In general many shelf spots are missing prices, checkout aisles are closed or not staffed with baggers during peak hours, and items may be shelved randomly based on type or ethnicity. (i.e. chinese mustard, italian olive oil, etc.)I had found it convenient for basics, but will drive a bit as there's just not a good reason to have the shopping experience you will have here.

Rampant disregard for Covid-19 precautions. Saw an employee preparing food with the mask not covering her nose. Saw a manager walk right by her without comment. Unbelievable.

If you want COVID-19, you've come to the right place. I'm writing this update because the disregard for the safety of customers in this store is shameless. I just left this store on a Friday evening. It was not crowded but they had 3 registers open (not counting the 15 item or less checkouts). Two of the three cashiers had their masks pulled below their noses. I also ran into four customers without masks. One was older and may have breathing problems, but the other three were young, healthy looking and had masks pulled down below their faces as they shopped. One of the three was stuffing her face with a bag of some kind of snacks. All of this wass happening in plain view with employees everywhere. Worse, employees appeared to make no effort to distance from customers even when there was plenty of room. I have 6 family members who contracted COVID-19. I take this very seriously. A sibling who works in a Whole Foods got it. A cousin got it and had to stop her cancer treatments until she recovered. An aunt got it and was on a ventilator for 3 weeks, and 2 other cousins, essential workers, also got it. I work in health care and went out of my way beginning in early March to protect my staff and my patients. I've been diligent about distancing, hand washing and proper mask use for nearly two months. It's extremely frustrating to encounter a business that is so lax about protecting customers, most of whom are presumably trying very hard to protect others and themselves. The manager of this Jewel needs to resign or start taking customer and employee safety much more seriously. There's just no excuse for this level of carelessness.

A disappointing experience with Jewel grocery delivery. 25% of the order was not filled (c'mon no spinach or mixed greens in the whole store?), two eggs were broken (did a jr. high student use our order for the famous egg drop experiment?), bought one single carrot instead of the bunch that was ordered and paid for (messing up a planned recipe) and, even though Jewel has a four hour delivery window the order was still late by an extra half hour. If you are desperate this is the way to go, but don't get your hopes too high until they show you the food. Did I mention the interminable wait times on the phone when you try to address overpayment issues?

Tuesday, August 6th, 3:45 p.m. Was near store so decided to stop to pick up a frozen pie for granddaughter. Walked down the ice cream aisle, one frozen food door completely opened, pallet with frozen food boxes on it in middle of aisle, and employee on his phone texting. Continued to deli & 4 employees slicing meat with their backs away from me. I said "excuse me" but no one turned around to help. Don't need this so proceeded to just walk out of store. Walked back down the ice cream aisle and employee still texting. Where are the supervisors?

I love this jewel osco, the cashier named ginger was very nice and had a very friendly and respectful attitude. Also the last time I came here, there was a lady who was very helpful in establishing a refund of a whipped cream can with no nozzle which made it very dangerous

I have been a customer for many many years and today I had a very bad experience with Rachel, she was behaving in a rude manner by rejecting my coupon claiming that it didn't fit the item even though it was a the same brand and WAS SCANNING AND WORKING, she just decided to not to finish my order and go on to the next customer. Most of the employees are quite nice but this was the worst experience I have had at this place over a problem that could have been easily solved but didn't just because she didn't want to.

Don't shop here unless you are double checking both what you are charged for and what actually makes it into your bag/basket. Yet again, I got home and didn't have everything that was on my receipt. Management won't help. Shop somewhere else.

This review is for the Jewel-Osco at 1128 Chicago Avenue in Evanston. Although I usually find what I need here, and for a good price, shopping here can be an unpleasant experience. For starters the store fronts on Chicago Avenue, a busy street, with an enormous parking lot next to the store. But the parking lot is at the side of the building (not in front) with only ONE set of entry/exit doors situated quite far from the nearest parking space. A better plan would have fronted the store facing the parking lot, with room for TWO sets of entrances/exits. As it is the existing single entrance/exit "funnels" customers into a long, dark corridor like outdoor walkway populated by individuals asking for money (look for them right next to the NO SOLICITING sign), and customers or staff taking a smoking break, chatting on their phones, etc. The problem is the space is too small for so much traffic. Also, all the shopping carts collected from the lot have to be moved back into the store through this same space. If you happen to arrive at the moment a hapless employee is moving fifty carts from the lot back into the store, be prepared to navigate your way in. Once inside, you are forced to walk past all of the 6-8 or so check-out registers (most of which are always unused) past the floral area and into the produce area before you can then circle back to start shopping. There's an area immediately inside the entrance stacked with "stuff" which must be placed there for no other reason than to prevent you from moving in that direction. So just entering the store is a challenge. Once inside, I can usually find what I need, but this particular Jewel-Osco suffers also in that it is smaller than other stores so there's less shelf space. If something goes on sale, be prepared to find it out of stock. I drink a lot of diet ginger ale and Jewel's typical sale is 99 cents for a 2 liter container, but you must buy 4, 2-liter containers to get the sale price. It's unusual to find 4 on the shelf, so I have to request the sale price for my one bottle (the last one); someone has to call for the manager and I hold up the line -- they usually give me the price but the cashier can be rude about it. (Memo to management -- if you are going to offer this type of sale, make sure to put enough of the product on the shelf so you don't run out!) Some of the staff is fine, other's not so much. On the produce side, it's not so bad for staples such as broccoli, cucumbers, roma tomatoes, bananas, apples. For other items, check carefully, but don't ever buy fresh peaches from Jewel -- they are always mealy-- Jewel does not know how to store them properly before putting them out for sale. For meat, also, be sure to check the dates on the packages -- I've bought bad meat before and had to return it (fortunately I live nearby, but it's a hassle nevertheless!). The meat and fish dept always closes during the week before 7 PM. The case is usually in the process of being emptied out by 6:45.
