There's a sandbox up front for parents to let their kids play in while they shop which is a really thoughtful touch.

“With the closure of the Oak Street Athleta location (RIP) this location has now become my go-to. It's been a minute since I've stopped in, but was in earlier this month for some post-birthday retail damage (I had gift cards :)). It seems like the store has been spruced up (lighter, brighter interior) since my last time coming here. Connie helped me with sizes/fit questions and am glad that she has landed here as she used to work at the Oak Street location. I will be back for sure!”

“Between this shop and Virtu in Bucktown, I'm reminded why I love shopping local and why it's so important to do so whenever possible. Vanessa, the owner, is exceedingly kind and stopping in today and having the chance to meet her feels like fate. When I first stopped in the other employee here greeted me and asked what brought me in and if I needed help finding anything. It's not a large place but there is a LOT to look at. They have clothing, accessories, adult jewelry (possibly kids jewelry too, but I wasn't looking at it much), hair notions, and so on. One thing I really needed is a pacifier clip since my daughter has taken to pulling hers out and it ends up in a place in her carseat that is hard for me to reach! They happened to have these which made it a successful shopping trip right there. But whilst we were wandering, Vanessa complimented my sweetie pie and we got to talking. I was in the store for 35 minutes or so and probably half of that was chatting with her. I got a couple of the pacifier clips, and a freaking ADORABLE winter hat that I'm pretty sure is handmade and will probably fly off the shelf. I also bought a book featuring Chicago landmarks which I learned as I checked out Vanessa actually wrote. She autographed it for my baby which I love! Parking is street only and probably can get tough some days, but it's worth the visit. The store is full of really high quality items. They have quite a few Chicago-themed items as well, such as the aforementioned hat, onesies, t-shirts, and so on. It was so nice to talk with Vanessa and get to know her a bit. This is a small shop with big heart and should be on your list of fave baby shops in Chicago.”

We were welcomed by one person who paused from her duties to acknowledge me and ask how she could help. And I found a great sweater that suited me, and it was very comfy. Holly and Lindsay enthusiastically take their time to ensure that each customer is matched with the perfect gift for their loved one. Holly is the Willie Wonka of the toy industry. Over the decades she has amassed tremendous knowledge of children's items and cares deeply to ensure each person gets what he/she desires. She seeks first to understand. Having been a lifelong educator for five decades, I have a unique sense of what makes people "truly" care about children and young adults. Just walking in their store brightens my day.”

“I mail ordered some jeans I liked but needed to exchange for a different size. Samantha helped ring out the exchanges at the register and exchange an item on the floor while Mary checked in the back stock to look for one of my items. They ended up finding the same jeans, color and style, just in the size I requested. Great helpful staff! Aside from myself they kept helping others in checkout and the store is always organized and clean. They deserve recognition and appreciation!”
