Huge selection of fabrics. Hard to select just one. Friendly service. Some quality control is needed, however. There were problems with my order, such as size (despite professional measuring), etc. With some adjustment and compromise on my part, the produce is ultimately usable.

I love the Calico store in Wilmette! The team of sales associates are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.This last visit I was looking for fabric to reupholster my 7' Henredon tuxedo style sofa. It takes 20 yards, so it was going to be an expensive purchase for me, and I definitely wanted to make the best choice.The team of sales associates hunted down various fabrics and ideas. We spent plenty of time to help me make the best choice.I highly recommend this store. I worked with Chris and Anne.

I purchased 2 yards of fabric and was charged $10.00 for delivery. I questioned it at the time and was told that it was the store policy. I accepted that. At the time of purchase, I was told that the fabric was in stock and it was delivered a week later. I also purchased 2 curtain rods which were not included in the package with the fabric. I called the store and was told that they are separate orders and the curtain rods take 3 weeks. I called to cancel the curtain rods and the salesperson told me that I would receive a credit on my credit card. Ten minutes later the store manager calledand said that the previous person was new and did not understand that things are not cancelable.The store manager was very rude and reamed me out for not knowing the store policy. She said that there is a sign in the store and it its also on the receipt. These are not custom made curtain rods, they are 2 simple rods costing $10.00 each. She also said that once you purchase from Calico Corners it is yours because they do not have any inventory and can not accept returns. “We are not a cash and carry store” she said. “They pay me for upholding store policy” was also one of her statements. I expect a credit for the 2 curtains rods becasue I don’t know when and if they will arrive, they don’t seem to know if they have been ordered or shipped. The sales person was very helpful, but the store manager lacked all manner of finess.

Do business with this enterprise at your own peril. They charge for materials that have not been delivered nor installed. (Word of advice: read the fine print in any contract you sign. I didn't, to my eternal regret.)

Terrible customer service and follow up. In late May I made a large deposit on a project. It's June 30. The fabric has not arrived. It is impossible to contact anyone by phone. They do not even have voice mail. I feel like I've really been deceived and plan to file a complaint with BBB and the Chamber of Commerce if I do not receive a reply by tomorrow morning.

I had an in-house consultation in February. Didn't hear back so I followed up in May. They said they were closed bc of Covid. No problem. After they reopened I followed up again with numerous emails and phone messages. No response to either.

I love this place. They carry an amazing array of fabrics for everything from draperies to furniture covering. James was super helpful in answering all of my questions and keeping me posted on the status of my chair seats. He also suggested that I remove the chair seats and number them before I brought them to the store. The best is that I got them back earlier than I expected. Thank you so much.

I was very happy with this store. The fabrics were amazing! I hadn't heard of Calico, but was told about this place when I was searching for a quality fabric to use for reupholstering my dining room chairs. It wasn't in proximity to my home, as a matter of fact, it was quite a drive, but was well worth it! Their selection was more than I anticipated and I finally decided on two fabrics. Before leaving the store, I was confident with one of the two and made the purchase. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was on sale also! Never having covered any furniture prior, I purchased more than enough and headed home. After my project was completed, I was proud of myself and thrilled with the outcome. The fabric was absolutely stunning! I highly recommend Calico in Wilmette!

Nothing here but expensive over priced fabric ... help does nothing but talk with no knowledge of how to figure what you actually need .... and this location has zero supplies!!! What a wasted trip!
